I used super glue to secure it, and I'm hoping it won't fall apart. The shield, on the other hand, is compact and light.
This shield appears to be well-made and well-padded. This shield appeals to me because it is curved rather than flat, and it has a variety of grip options. It's a nice touch that the grips are padded rather than just nylon straps. It doesn't appear to be leather, but it does have a pleasant odor, if that counts for anything. My only complaint is that the two vertical straps in the middle (the ones you put your forearm through) should be centered on the shield instead of offset to the top or bottom vertically depending on the shield's orientation. I also wish there was a handle on one of the long sides of the shield, which would make it a little more versatile; however, there is a handle on one of the short sides, which is ideal for holding for low kicks. It'll take some time to break in this pad, but I think it's a good option for a kick shield, and I'm excited to try it out.
Kicking is one of many ways I stay in shape, and this striking shield is DURABLE. br>At the moment, I'm doing 200 kicks a day on both legs to strengthen my kicks and increase my lower extremity flexibility. When compared to flat shields, it's quite comfortable to hold, and the curved finish is ideal for striking. I'd also recommend it to anyone interested in incorporating mixed martial arts into their workout routine!.
On the top, bottoms, and sides, there are numerous handles to brace it. It had a slight curve to it. Punches are not a problem, and most kicks are also absorbed, thanks to the adequate padding. We'll see how well it holds up to repeated strikes, but I'm pleased with it so far.
