I enjoy boxing as a form of exercise, but only in a serious way. I enjoy using high-quality gear and have always preferred Ringside, but I decided to give this a try because it was on sale. They're a little thicker and padded than the Ringside ones I've used before. This is both a positive and negative aspect of the situation. The punches don't seem to hit me as hard as they used to. Yes, this is the purpose of hand mitts, but I prefer to feel the punches so that I can provide more feedback and time my motion with the mitts. br>br>However, when powerful punches are delivered, the padding is comfortable and the recoil is satisfying. They're a little heavier and bulkier than I prefer, which is a little inconvenient. The wrist strap is also not great; it cinches my wrist and is uncomfortable, but it is durable. I'm mostly using these mitts for a couple of females who are learning to box, both small and learning to use their power, so I expect to like them more as they improve. br>br>Using with a large, powerful boxer would be ideal, as the mitts would provide protection and the weight would work in your favor. br>br>These have a nice feel to them, and they're comfortable to wear. They also appear to be stylish and well-made, with the ability to withstand a beating. Combinations are easy to do with these, but the bulky size may make counterpunching combos more difficult. That's how I like to do things. I also dislike that wearing hand wraps with these would be difficult. Then I'll trade off what I like to wear. br>br>What makes you give it five stars? br>Despite the fact that I wrote a lot of critical points, they are well-made, beautiful, and accomplish what I required. They are worth more than you pay for them at this price. I'm a big fan of Ringside and would have kept it if I hadn't felt like switching things up. It was a good decision on my part. Although not perfect, it is more than adequate for aspiring boxers' workouts and training. br>Worth the money and investment; don't buy cheap (bad for the boxer, bad for the trainer). If you don't want to spend the money on these or better mitts, you should probably go to a boxing gym or avoid boxing altogether because of the risk of injury from cheap equipment.

I had some Everlast pads that I needed to get rid of. The pads are fantastic. After only a month of use, the stitching on some Everlast pads ripped. I've been using these pads for about six months and they're still in great shape! I use them at least once a week for a few hours at a time, and they're still in great shape! These absorb the majority of the impact from a stronger opponent. The wrist strap is comfortable and secures them in place. The ball in the middle makes it easier to hold them in your hand. These are excellent pads that I would recommend to anyone.

These are used by my wife and me for light kickboxing. They're a good size for adult male hands; I've tried other RDX mitts and couldn't get my hand into them. The interior cushioning that goes over the back of your hand wears out, exposing the foam, as you can see. They absorb a lot of sweat on the inside, so using sports gear cleaners and making sure they dry quickly is necessary to keep them from smelling funky. Perhaps they're better suited to someone who doesn't sweat excessively. At least for our purposes, the comfort, weight, and cushioning are all satisfactory. The "tactically placed aeration holes" are essentially useless. Next, I'm going to try a different brand of mitts to see if they're any more durable.

These mitts are extremely durable, with extra-tight stitching to withstand multiple strikes over time; they are also slightly heavier and thicker than other MMA mitts, which is beneficial to the holder because they can absorb more impact and relieve stress on the wrists. br>br>The inside grip is very solid (almost like gripping a small tennis ball), which makes them easier to hold onto, and the outside strap is positioned so that they stay firmly in place without cutting into your wrist on impact. br>br>Love them for kickboxing and MMA style training.

I got the focus mitts for $27 because they were on sale for Prime ($37 instead of $50) and I had a $10 gift card, so it was a great deal considering the brand name and quality material. The mitts arrived in good condition and on time. For sparring, it's the right weight, size, and quality. It's also very relaxing and safe to use. The rationale behind the four-star rating Because some foam protruded from its seams, it received a one-star rating. The material is brand new, and I would expect it to arrive in better condition from the manufacturer. I'm hoping that as I use the mitts more, they won't deteriorate any faster than they should due to this noticeable flaw when I first received them.

They arrived today, and we put them to work right away. They make you feel fantastic. They have a rounded mound for your palm, which puts your hands in a more natural cupping position, making them more comfortable to wear. They can take a lot of punishment and bounce back quickly. They are a little snug, so someone with larger hands might want to stretch them out with some shoe stretch and wear them for a while before using them. They do have a new pleather scent, but the most important aspect of that is new, as they smell brand new. They're very light, and the quality appears to be good, but only time will tell. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others.
