This Gi is fantastic, but there is no belt to go with it.
I was told by my grandson's dojo that the boys like the 12 oz weight because it snaps During his time in karate he owned lighter weight karate uniforms (GI's). When he started practicing the boys started with light weight GI's. It feels heavy when they are soaked with sweat during the summer when the days get hot. I have owned heavier uniforms. The weight I used 45 years ago when I started to train with the same instructor he trains with now is the same weight I used 45 years ago when I began to train. In two weeks, it will be 40 years since my instructor attended the wedding of my wife and me. The Ronin Brand 12oz is a good product, he is now wearing a size 5, he is 5'10" tall and weighs 155 lbs. At just 15 years old, he weighs 200 pounds, compared to his younger brother's weight of 100 pounds.
A stiffer material than Gi fabric, it doesn't feel as light as it looks. This makes it easy to pull, grab, and throw without tearing it. A good rule of thumb is to size down a bit if they run large.

As a replacement for my 10 years old light and medium weight gis, I bought three heavy weight This 14 oz. Fuji camera is perfect for outdoor use. It fits perfectly, feels right, is snappy, durable (so far) and surprising comfortable for the use for which it was designed.
*i>Ronin 18 oz. wrist bands are a bit short
*i>Pull strings on the pants are a bit short. It runs large and is a second favorite. In other words, I have to roll the pants leg four times larger than usual. A very loose top is also present. This shoe has a quick response time, is durable, and is I would like you to try Hayabusa It is my least favorite of all The size runs a bit Material that can be felt as being the most heavy. A little sharper than other brands, but still quite rough.
The ice is thick, so make sure you are prepared! It may be hard to wash, but when you use OxyClean you will not eat away at the fibers of the gown like Bleach would. Having it washed and dried at a cool temperature makes it look great.
This garment is extremely thick and heavyweighted, with an extremely heavy feel, so it runs large, but with a little modification it can look lovely. ) Is great for testing and tournaments if it's I had my sensei appreciate the quality of the uniform. * Replies Runs extremely large, so I had to go two sizes down to get the right size. My 6'0 ft, 220 lb body would not fit a size 7 as it runs super large, so I went down to a size 5. * The material is so thick that even if you dry it on low, the garment will still wrinkle even if you wash it As a result of heat, the wrinkles do not disappear. The only way to get results is to iron! I've never seen pants this big before! The length and girth of these animals must be adjusted. As adjusting the thickness would take a LOT of effort, it may be better to leave it as-is.
Unlike many gis, this one is not made of synthetic materials As with most other brands, it's made of shrunk cotton. Cotton alone (not a blend) can shrink as much as 20% according to Google (Google). Based on the chart, I bought the recommended size. When I tried it on, the gi seemed huge, 1-1/2-inch waist, 1-1/8-inch hips, 1-1/4-inch thighs. The size is too big by two sizes. Thought this thing would shrink a lot, so instead of returning, I decided to see for myself. During the wash, a cool stream of water was added. Afterward, it was hung to dry. It has shrunk somewhat, but it is still way over size. Put the clothes in the dryer on high after washing again in warm water. It is the dryer that makes all the difference, my jacket nearly fit, but my pants took added time to dry Put the clothes in the dryer on high after washing again in warm water. The jacket fit my preferences and I hung it up to dry so that it did not shrink further. We continued to dry the pants on high for a little while to get them to shrink. The article is still quite long, but there are no adjustments to be made. Pants usually wear out and need replacement before jackets do. The back of the cuff just touches the floor and may fray over time. I was very pleased with the quality for the price paid. The material is heavy enough and stiff enough. It appears that Gi wrinkles easily since it's made entirely of cotton, even after it's been dried. It might be necessary to iron or use other methods to remove wrinkles as part of ongoing maintenance for this gi before buying.
Since I also trained in Okinawan karate a few years ago, I can offer some insight into what a good karate gi is like. As per my sizing chart, I should wear a size 7 in this uniform. I originally purchased it in a larger size from an online martial arts store. I could tell from a glance that size 7 was significantly too big when I arrived. After I returned it, the store was taking a long time to process the return and then ship it back to me when I needed a new uniform. As a result, I went to Amazon's store and found the uniform I needed in the size I needed, which meant I could get it more quickly. I have been using it for several months and so far, it seems to hold up to the type of martial arts training I also practice my strikes or forms with it, and it makes a nice sound. has some heft to it, and despite its not being a Judo/BJJ uniform, I feel like it can handle some throwing. It is a pretty nice uniform from my instructor and classmates as well, and for less than $100, I think it is a fantastic price for a heavyweight that isn't Japanese made. The only thing I would like to comment on is the size of it. love a roomy uniform, even after I run it through hot water and into the dryer a few times, it is still a bit large for me therefore, I have to roll my pants and sleeves a few times to make sure I don't trip. You will need to purchase a white belt separately for this uniform. I would not recommend the Ronin Brand belt as they are stiff and very short. Tiger Claw belts are good and affordable, though I recommend ordering a belt size larger than your uniform size if you want more length.
Mostly I use Tokaido, and got this to back it up in case. There is nothing I would change about this product. It is of the same quality as the It's a great snap, it's heavy and it's This product will continue to be purchased by me when I need it. In my Martial Art, Wado Ryu, I do a lot of throws derived from Jujutsu. The Tokaido I bought ripped, and since it was a high-quality $200 gi, I didn't want to replace it with something that was similarly expensive, but I also wanted something with a heavier weight for thrown attacks. The Hayabusa I purchased is a Yamaha. My stylistic preferences require a thicker throw than I first tried, which was similar in price but of far lower quality. This is perfect for me, since I can throw it on and not worry about draining my wallet when it tears.
When I returned back into karate after 16 years, I found something that I didn't have the first time a solid gi for testing and a solid gi for In this case, it fits the bill perfectly. There's nothing better than the snap sound it makes with an effective kick or punch. What a great idea! The following is a size note As a 5'9" 145 lb athletic built woman, I weigh 145 lbs. As a result of customer reviews, I bought the size 3 and am SOOO glad I love it! It fits like a glove! I usually wear a size 4 in Century. Despite this, Ronin would have been way too large for it. Ronin, you did a great job! Amazon is a great seller, so thank you!.
