I don't think it's suede because it's soft and not plastic.
This is something that my 13-year-old daughter owns and enjoys. If I want to, I can use it as well. It's a fantastic beam that folds up for convenient storage. I don't think there would be a weight issue; you might have to dig a little deeper into the foam, but I think it would be fine.
I'm not sure, but it's made of a smooth material that might make it slippery.
Although the beam is protected by a cover, I'm concerned that something sharp in the lawn could pierce it.

It was a lovely pink color. Although it is very easy to fold, it remains 4 feet tall. Her only complaint is that when she walks on it, the sides fold over, making it about 3 inches wide; otherwise, it was an excellent purchase!.
She quickly set it up and got to work with it. She made sure that everyone in her family tried it out as well. It's the perfect size for her to practice on, and it's simple for her to set up and take down on her own.
It's effective; both the 3 and 6 year olds use it frequently on their own initiative. Even a three-year-old could set it up, use it, and put it away! br>Very soft and forgiving, but still provides a firm and stable top. br>The girls use it on carpeted and wooden floors with no apparent slippage or instability. br>I like how close it is to the floor. It helps with both my safety concerns as well as the girls' confidence and willingness to try new things. br>We found it to be very appealing, functional, and practical. So far, the product has proven to be durable.
Balance beam is one of my daughter's favorite activities. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time, but not for serious training (the edges do not hold full form when stepped on due to their softness).
I like how it has a flared base to help it stay stable while still being a standard beam width. It's so convenient to store because it folds in the middle! My children are six and seven years old. Both my 5-year-old son and I use it and enjoy it.
This balance beam is a big hit with my kids. They use it all the time, both inside and out. When laid flat, it folds neatly and stays put. My only gripe is that I wished I had gotten one that was a little shorter. It's almost too big to fit in our apartment.
The length is ideal, and because it folds in half for storage, I never have to worry about it laying flat. It's light enough for my 6-year-old to lift and move. The only thing I can think of that would improve it would be some rubber grips on the bottom.
It has a good amount of strength to it. It's fine to use for balancing practice / yoga on an average-sized adult. br>Nice color; length and width are appropriate. This is exactly what I was looking for.
