Mayatex San Juan Solid Barrel Racer/Arab Saddle Blanket

Although this is a high-quality horse blanket, I purchased it to use as a wool pressing cloth for my sewing and quilting projects. I assumed it was a solid flat surface based on the image, but the surface is textured, which surprised me. It's entirely my fault for not noticing. I missed the return window because of a family emergency. It was entirely my fault; however, shipping was extremely quick, and the quality, as previously stated, is excellent.

For another horse, I had a much larger Mayatex wool blanket. The blanket was always a favorite of mine; I only used it for shows and it was still in excellent condition after eight years. This 30x34 was a great fit for my new horse. Tan color is exactly what I expected, and it's of the same high quality as my previous blanket. It's also very soft. I liked it so much that I purchased a black version for daily use.

These are much more expensive in my local tack shops. The color of the pad is a little darker than the one shown here, but the material is fantastic, the quality is excellent, and it wicks moisture away from the skin during long rides.

This blanket has a lovely color. It's a good fit for my pony with a short back. I just wish it was 100% wool as well as well as well as well.

This was purchased to replace a thicker work pad in my son's show pad. Regular show pads are too big for him, so his heels end up on the pad rather than the horse. This is a great smaller size that isn't too small, and it appears to be of good quality.
