When I received the breast plate in the mail, I was overjoyed because it is very attractive and appears to be a good match for my Icelandic. However, after yesterday's trail ride, which was 5 miles up and down some moderately steep hills, I was disappointed to notice that there was a lot of chafing and irritation about halfway through the ride; granted, he is freshly clipped, so perhaps this isn't an issue with a horse with some coat. The felt lining on the inside does not appeal to me; it appears to be a bit cheap and rough in comparison to the rest of the material, and I believe it is the felt that is so abrasive on a clipped horse. I think it would be perfect if it was lined with a softer material, such as sheepskin.

The chest straps are absolutely stunning. A blue and a red were among the items I purchased. Fit our horses perfectly, and we're planning on purchasing a black one as well.

I have the hot pink bridle, bc, reins, and chin strap in hot pink and the blue bridle and bc in blue, but the hot pink does not look hot pink in person, it's more of a coral color, so I'm having trouble finding a pad to match
