Selected User Reviews For Professionals Choice Equine Neoprene Breast Collar (Universal Size)
It appeals to me. If I had to wear something like this, I'd choose it over leather. It's soft and cozy, and it's a perfect fit. The photo shows a mare who is almost 16 years old. It fits a big horse because it's 3 feet tall and weighs around 1600 pounds.
The unit's overall workmanship and quality are exceptional. The three neoprene strips/parts, on the other hand, are exceptionally thin and will most likely need to be replaced within a year under normal trail riding conditions. 2 riding seasons, if these units/parts were twice as thick as they are now, I would give this unit a 5-star rating. the number of stars above- Quality is average/high. I'll start looking for replacement units made of double-thickness material right away, or I'll buy the materials and make them myself.
Quality is excellent. Professionals Choice is the brand of tack that I usually purchase. To get a good fit for my draft horse, I had to add a few holes in between the other holes. It does, however, work well and does not irritate him. I am extremely pleased.
It doesn't leave any rubbing marks and is incredibly simple to clean. My current one is fantastic, and I plan to purchase another soon! On my Kentucky Mountain Horse, it's a little big, but I just drilled a hole in each side and it fits perfectly.
This is the first breast collar I've found that is both comfortable and durable on my horse. It's not all rhinestones and glitz, but it's stylish and, more importantly, well-fitting!.
It's my favorite breast color of all the breast collars, and I use it on my Paso Fino, but it's also adjustable to fit a nice stout quarter horse.
To get the right fit, I had to add an over-the-shoulders strap. It's probably better for a QH than an Arabian. It rubs and can be hosed off, but it collects a lot of hair and appears to be poorly constructed.
The material is more suitable for the horse than leather. It absorbs sweat and doesn't dig into his chest; it's also very soft.
