Questions & Answers
A weighted piece of rubber is attached to the line's other end. It prevents the end from falling through your fingers by accident. You don't want a loop because it could trap your hand, and if your horse bolts or something happens, you could be seriously injured.
It's about 2 inches in diameter. It's sturdy and long-lasting.

This is more durable and less expensive than Amazon's 25-foot dog leashes, so I bought it to give my dog more freedom on our walks. br>If you get tangled in the nylon, it is very stiff and unforgiving. I got tangled up in the lead while tossing the ball for my 65-pound dog, and now I have scars on my calf from the lead burning against it. 100% my fault but something to be aware of is something to be aware of is something to be aware of br>I would definitely use gloves to lunge a new horse with this, and I might even consider using gloves for a large dog.
This is for our dog, so I bought it. When we go for walks, she loves to run, but other long leashes have snapped. I reasoned that if it could hold a horse, it could certainly hold our dog. It was a complete success! I removed the rubber stopper from the end and simply tied a loop for my hand to grip. Our dog will not be able to break free from this leash, I am confident.
I have a deaf pitbull, and this leash is perfect for him. It's thick and strong, and I like the large hook. He has enough space to run around in. It works for me, and I'm going to get another just in case.
I had planned to buy a cotton lunge line, but the product description did not specify that it was made of nylon. My initial reaction was to simply return it, but I am blown away by how well it is constructed. The edges of the nylon are tucked away on the inside so they don't rub, and the stitching is excellent. Even though I prefer cotton, I'm going to keep it and make sure I wear gloves. It's a five-star rating because it's well-made.
The clasp can be easily hooked on either side of the halter, which is also convenient. And the color options made me happy because they went with everything else in my stable.
At the end, there's a rubber stopper, which I really like. I actually use it at our farm to walk one of my dogs after dark. On long jaunts, all the noises and smells tend to make her vanish just as I'm about to retire to bed! I've used lunge lines on horses before, and the brass hooks were a little heavier duty. But it's perfect for my needs!.
This lunge line is used in two ways for me. It's usually on a large branch in the front yard, where I can let the dog out while I work in the garden. It does not tangle in any way. It's a tough piece. When my dog is swimming, I use this line as well. The length of the line is comfortable for me, and it makes it simple to catch her when she returns from fetching. Even when wet, it isn't too heavy. Granted, I am the proud owner of a large canine companion.
It has a flimsy feel to it. However, I understand that these are very private matters. The way a person feels is highly subjective. I'm keeping it as a backup in my trailer.
