When the tights arrived, they were great, but they were a little too small. The XL tan Tights fit my 4'10" daughter who weighs 100 pounds, but they were a little tight. I'm hoping they'll last at least a summer. As a result, we're returning and ordering an adult size, in the hopes of assisting others in their size selection.
These are exactly what I needed. It appeared to be a fantastic moisture-wicking and ultra-lightweight material. However, after only two wears and a gentle Woolite wash and air dry, the pilling is horrendous! They appear to have been sanded with sandpaper. They were only worn for two hours by my daughter, and the price was not justified. I was extremely disappointed, as I've previously had better luck with Kerrits.
These schooling tights have made me very happy. We chose the Large because my daughter usually wears a size 10 in girls' shoes. The fit is perfect, and there's plenty of room for growth in the legs. She hasn't given any specific feedback on the "ice fill" aspect, but it's a great summer weight-riding pant regardless. If we need to get more mileage out of these in the fall, they can also be used as running leggings. As with most technical pants, these have a lot of stretch and a sheen to them. The saddle gripping is subtle, but not so much that it prevents these from being used for riding. So far, they've washed and dried perfectly on the delicate cycle. The seams are well-made and durable. The price was well worth it.
Only the "tan/khaki" color (which has a green tint) should be avoided. For schooling, I really like the Kerrits Ice Fil rights! They're well worth the money and hold up well in the wash (just hang dry, of course!). ) Just keep in mind that in certain lighting, the khaki/tan color tights we received have a "greenish" tint to them; I would have returned them if it hadn't been for my daughter's need for them at such a short notice. br>Alone, the color isn't bad, but it isn't your typical khaki color, so beware! Otherwise, they perform admirably, as do all of her other pairs; I just didn't care for the green/khaki color combination.
My Kerrits Ice Fil tights are one of my favorites, so when my 6-year-old daughter asked if she could wear them, I said yes. year- My daughter is skinny/small for her age, and these were a little tight on her, so who was I to say no when she asked for a pair for Christmas? The only reason I didn't give these 5 stars is because the pants developed a small hole after her first fall in them and only the second time she wore them.
If you order a size up, be aware that this is not a scam. I ordered this product as well, and when I took it out of the package, it appeared to be coming apart, which is why I'm returning most of them. However, the style is meant to be tight and legging-like. Make sure your seems don't come undone. I'm going to order the same size as before, as well as one size larger. I went with a large and extra large size. I am 14 years old and 5'0 inches tall with a weight of 78 pounds.
My tights were only worn once for a single performance, and they now appear to be a year old. This is extremely disappointing because I had saved up for it and had paid significant import duties on top of the high purchase price. After only one day of use, I was heartbroken to see the state of the material around the knee. Surely this isn't suitable for a tight ride where friction is expected?.
She has a pair of ovation tights that are much softer and stretchier, as well as being much more comfortable, according to her. She didn't want to take them off once she'd put them on.
