It was simple to change this bit! Before I got him, he spent a year in a pasture and was ridden in a regular snaffle, which caused him to toss his head around. I wanted to try a different bit on him, which he eventually accepted, but he didn't seem at ease, and I couldn't tell if it was the bridle or the bit. I began by experimenting with a few different bits. He was still swaying his head and didn't appear to be at ease. I ended up with a Micklem that wasn't compatible with the bit he was used to, so I started experimenting with different bits. More tossing of the head. The head tossing ceased almost immediately after I received this one. He was always a breeze to bridle, but with this combination, he's the bridling poster child. He lowers his head, opens his mouth, and grabs this morsel! I don't give anything in return for this, and my tacking up method hasn't changed. With this bridle, I can and have ridden without a bit. He makes no distinction between the two. br>br>This section makes me very happy!.
This was a favorite of mine and my mare. I've used a few Myler bits before, but this is the first egg butt one I've tried, and I really like it!.
So far, so good. Bought for my Paso Fino.
I received precisely what I had requested. This one appears to be a favorite of mine and my mare. I'm going to place an order for a second one for the other bridle. It's silky and soothing, and it helps her stay at ease.
