The ones at my gym work well and last a long time. I use them at least six times a week in a class of ten to fifteen students, and I have yet to come across any that are worn out or show signs of wear. The lights have been in our home for about a year. We had Fairtex ones previously, but I am glad I found these. They are good for absorption, and it is easy to deal with hard hitting.

Okay, some people prefer the oval-shaped one because it blends in better and avoids the sharp rectangular edges that have a tendency to create a little friction when kicking. but the rectangular one has a tendency to create a little friction when it kicks.

I would like to add the following to the original post While the padding itself seems to be well made and durable, the arm straps, which are low quality, do not appear to be so. I found the straps flimsy and short. Additionally, I must admit that the buckle / strap loop looked like it was going to rust and break soon. I have difficulty covering my wrists and firearms with the straps themselves, as they're rather short. Because of this, this pad would work quite well for women and youth MMA I have the RDX focus mitts, and they are excellent. The Thai pads, however, do not compare to those from the West.

As for the pads fitting well and staying in place, they are far superior to my previous experiences with pads that cost between mid and low end (I have used six or seven variations, but I don't remember their names).
