(I last used a speed bag when I was a teenager, but I needed low impact exercise and recalled my teen years. During my college years, I was a pretty decent player. During my old house, I had this hung on a wall. I like its stability. The racks were mounted loosely on the wall using the lag bolts that were provided by the supplier. I centered my holes for the wall racks and installed them with a stud finder. But when I tried assembling the bracket according to the instructions, it did not work. bracket on the platform is too wide. Therefore, I had to mount it on the outside of the wall racks rather than inside, as instructed. There are two red knobs on the inside of the bracket. It's hard to adjust the red knobs because the knobs are on the inside. Not sure if it's the studs in my old house or the bracket on the XMark. That's why you need to start measuring. In addition, the upper part of the swivel has 1/8" of uphill and downhill slop. As soon as I'm back in the swing of things, I'm sure I will be glad I did.
