XMark Adjustable Speed Bag Platform with 15" Height Adjustment and Constructed of Heavy Gauge Steel to Minimize Vibration and Optimize Rebound

I am pretty frugal, and I could have built a speed bag platform for about $100, but it would not have been adjustable, and I would not have had a quiet platform. Previous to this, I bought and returned a cheap platform kit that was very noisy and could not be adjusted. Having the ability to adjust presents a number of benefits The platform will not adjust, so you will have to make sure that you get the height just right when you install it because if the height is incorrect and uncomfortable, you will have to take the whole platform apart and reinstall it. If the platform isn't adjustable and there are more than one person using the speed bag, the only way you're going to be able to adjust for height differences would be to place something on the floor that corresponded to the exact difference in height. I just don't think having a fixed height speed bag platform is feasible. The cost of making your own ADJUSTABLE speed bag platform is prohibitive, even if you make minimum wage. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't find an easy way out Here are some ideas you can use to make your platform adjustable. With regard to the quietness, you can be sure the XMark Adjustable Platform is quiet. It's hard to get enough of the satisfying whapity-whap Wow, what a party! Although this platform has the sound behind it for feedback while you use it, the steel mounting brackets, the heavy adjusting bolts, and the heavy steel frame ensure that it doesn't vibrate during your speed bag workout. It will only produce noise if the wall you attach it to flexes when the platform is attached to a speed bag. A couple of 2x4s hold the shelves, and they barely flex. There is no sound of me hitting the bag from my neighbors. However, there is a pool table in my house, and they can hear the ball click. It appears that I hit my dummy and the heavy bag when I was hitting my wooden dummy. During practice, I can hit the bag with 2x4s and the dummy with a wooden arm and leg that move and make noise when I hit them. Still, this platform stands out for its weight, solidity and quietness. There is nothing else you need but a bag with this platform. There is even a hand tool for assembling and installing the product. Each of the nuts, bolts, and tools is vacuum sealed into a piece of cardboard with an accompanying instruction sheet and clearly labelled. It was easy to put my platform together in the order shown and it worked in a very short time. A level didn't come with the kit, so I used one I had in my possession. It does not matter what type of bubble level you use. Had I had help, I would have been able to set everything up in about 15 or 20 minutes. It was mine alone, and I did not have any help with it. The platform is heavy, so, since I was alone, I set it up and tied a rope across the rafters and around the platform to hold it close to the wall while I proceeded to level it and fit Since it is adjustable vertically, I was able to adjust it so that the bag was at the correct height for me once it was put into place. Despite being much shorter than I am, I have a buddy who can adapt to my needs. The quality of this platform is so good, I know I'm going to use it for the rest of my life. There is absolutely NO reason to make one yourself, buy a cheaper or more expensive one. The purchase here is the right one. I can't think of a better way to do it. In my opinion, this would be an effective commercial gym program.

Please see https//www. nbsp It is great that the feature can be adjusted. The painters tape was used at the top to mark my spot and to make it easier to slide the tape into a good position for my girlfriend. The tape at the bottom had reminders about how to place it easily.

In comparison with other offerings of this price range, this product offers high quality. Putting everything together before mounting is said to be a good idea in the instructions. That's fine, but the weight is awfully heavy for such handling. Even so, drilling concrete isn't perfect since the bit moves a little while entering the hole, so I laid it out on cardboard and measured the holes to create a template. I then carefully transferred the template to the wall before mounting the uprights. With concrete, I found it difficult to drill precisely, so I had to ream a hole on the upright a bit with a rat tail file. Not a problem with the product, just hard to do it with precision. However, the mount was very solid and did not shake the house or bother anyone much (apart from me). I am very happy with how everything turned out.

I like the platform because it Honestly, I wouldn't find anything wrong with it other than the height adjusters don't slide up and down as smoothly as they should, but you rarely adjust them anyway so it's not a huge Additionally, I am also a A wood block was added behind the wall when I planned for installation during the framing stage of my basement gym.

XMark's 4441 speed bag platform is an excellent choice for a home gym or for home use. I like the way it looks, but most importantly I like how it functions. This model was selected over the 2811 because it has the same drum as the 4441. There is a small increase in the hardware on the 2811, but it is not an insignificant There is a problem with the swivel, as many have commented. I have a Reyes speed bag and the clip on the swivel that holds the bag was not wide enough to fit the loop on the Reyes I got an additional swivel so I can use it. In older homes, the studs may not be spaced that far apart. But you can always mount 2x4's to the studs then mount the 4441. The hardest part is finding studs that are 16 inches away from each other. Having the studs 16 inches apart is more work, but you will need to do it if you don't want your height adjustable. Both of the supporting arms must align with each other or it will be difficult to adjust the height. If you want it to be perfect, you have to measure and level. During my research on speed bag platforms, I spent a lot of time documenting them. It took me a while to find the XMark consistently listed as one of the top models despite there being tons of good ones available at the same price. It's okay if its not 100% complete, you won't be able to use it, but once it is, you'll have a great speed bag setup that's amazing to use.

I am very happy I bought it. It would be nice to have a speed bag like this. Once I figured it out, it took me about 20 minutes, but now I can do a good exercise with it. My wife was very pleased with how easy it went up. The rails were mounted first, and then the platform was mounted. There are a lot of screws. To put the screws in, I had to first make pilot holes, then drill them larger and then use an impact driver. When in contact with the wall, it remains solid. The volume isn't as loud as others say, but it is certainly loud enough to make others in the house uncomfortable. It comes with a swivel that is fine. However, I had to disassemble it in order to oil it and it works fine now. I used fine bearing oil and it is quiet and works well. U-shaped screw that keeps the u-shaped thread in place So I have to tighten the bolts in order to keep them from coming loose. I'm glad I bought it, and I'm glad I found it fun. This workout is excellent for the upper body.
