Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me if anyone has purchased the Outlayer heavy bag anchor with the double ends and weighed it at 70 pounds. ?

As a matter of curiosity, I weighed mine and found it to be 55 pounds. Below are a few suggestions that filled the anchor after some trial and error Cutting the 3 mil contractor bag evenly in half (making new ties), placing the empty bag inside the anchor, filling it with sand, then tying and zipping the bag. That's not bad at all. There was some space left over Even 60 lb would be not too hard, but 70 lb will be tough. The 55 lb I lost is enough for me.

The dimensions of the object?

There are 15 inches of diameter and 5 inches of height to the bag. It only cost me a few dollars to fill my bag with play sand from home depot, you can keep the bag with it. Getting in contact with Outslayer is very simple, as they have a web site and phone number.

With my 80 lb. body, I use it. If I hang the bag suspended or if I put it on the ground, which is more effective?

The ground is the best place. As the 80 lb. is moving, you need friction to control it. There are bags.

Do I need to use a lower strap to hang it from a bag that does not have a lower strap?

Hello. The top of your bag needs to have a strap or D-ring to attach it to a hook.

During that time. This bag anchor is nothing less than a top shelf product made from the same strong, supple material that's used in every single product from OutSlayer As durable as their heavy bags for professional boxers, they use tough shells that seem indestructible. With a 50-pound bag of sand, the bag filled easily. The additional 10 pounds of sand took a bit more pushing, pulling, and pounding, but it was still possible. What I do not understand is how anybody could get more than 10 lbs of sand into this bag anchor. Even with the help of two other people, I could not do it. A 60 pound anchor is still a reliable one in most situations. I have had my gym mats carefully kicked with the bag, and it absorbs the blows without much movement, immediately getting back into shape after they are kicked hard. A foot or even barefoot kick (even if you are barefoot) can leave you with little discomfort because the bag is large enough to absorb these impacts without causing It is the strap that connects the metal D-ring The ring around the bag is made of the same shell material as the rest of it. The bag is redundantly stitched to it, making it thick and bulky. Despite the large amount of stitching on the bag, the stitches are all tightly This garment does not appear to be Three layers of stitching are used in all seams. Furthermore, the zipper is stitched very securely to the shell and is very durable in and of itself. Its smooth motion and ease of zipping and unzipping makes it a good choice. In spite of the thick and smooth shell (like Outslayer's heavy bags), the bag is not slick, even in the rain. A few weeks ago I caught my beagle and Jack Russell terrier frantically clawing at the large bag (both dogs are tunnelers). My bag had not been seriously damaged it was only lightly scratched. I chased them off. This bag comes with a 10 year warranty, which is not at all surprising since the company stands behind its products. An elaborate metal D-ring is attached to the D-ring An attached ring provides a convenient carrying handle so that it can be hefted and carried by those strong enough.

Of course, the bag is compatible with different types of double ended bags as well. The bag works as well with my light 12 oz air filled bag as it does with my heavy 20 lb cloth filled Outslayer In addition to stabilizing my boxing bag without allowing it to move around on the ground, the OutSlayer bag also does well in stabilizing my 100 lb heavy bag. In the process of roundhouse kicking my bag anchored 65 lb heavy bag (with my Outslayer shin guards), it moves around a bit, but this is purely due to physics and not due to any deficiencies in the anchor. As it turns out, I do have quite a bit of Outslayer gear. The products they produce are always of high quality, and I trust them.

It looks like it will do the trick

It was necessary for me to have something that held my punching bag in place so that it didn't blow around every time I hit it. This product caught my eye, so I decided to try it out. The bag is so far holding just about where I want it to, and it seems sturdy and strong. There is something strong and thick about the 24" bungee cord (stretches to 36") and is the type that I have used before in other applications where things needed to stay firmly Although it claims to allow up to 70lbs of sand to fit in, I was only able to fit one 50lb bag of play sand in it (amount would vary depending on the I zipped up this item easily, and it now resides under my bag on the basement floor. After hitting it hard several times, the bag does swing a little, but nowhere near as much as it used to.

An anchor for Heavy bags from Out Slayer
3/5

Ad for this bag presents an extremely deceptive photo. The top of the heavy bag anchor appears to be made entirely of leather, and there is no zipper. This product arrived in a photo that I have attached. of the bag is made of cheap vinyl/plastic, which I feared would tear as I filled it with sand. Take a look at my photo to see a zipper, but there is none on the ad. Ads like this compel us to imagine a product that is as durable as real leather. I do not think this is In the mistaken belief that it was all leather, I paid twice the cost the other brands wanted for their heavy bag anchors. Please take a look at the fine print (it tells you what it really is made of). I like that other brands are not trying to hide what their products are made of. Advertising that is dishonest. As far as I can tell, the leather in the photographic ad is NOT the same as that being sold online.

I love the strength and durability of this one when compared to the The bags in this set were not anchored, so I brought it to kickboxing class

It was such an improvement for the instructor that she purchased anchors for all of the bags, but a different brand (water filled ones for the rest of the bags). These are used every day, the water filled anchors are falling apart, but this one still works well. It would have been helpful for the instructor if she had bought My only modifications were to line the inside with tarpaulin, to insert two garbage bags, one inside the other, to fill them with sand, and to tape them up. I also have to mention that the quality is excellent it holds up well to regular use, and it holds the 100 pound bag so that you don't have to chase it around.

For drills, I have a bag that holds 80 pounds. The bag will stay at a safe distance as long as you don't use quick kicking or punching combinations, but when a quick combination is used, the bag will flee. A round anchor bag is easy to store, inconspicuous, and holds a lot of sand. The bag also has a low profile and can hold up to 50 pounds of sand. As a result of the thick material and excellent stitching of this bag, I have no doubt that it will provide many years of service. The included bungee cord is also thick and very strong. In addition to being an instructor, I weigh 230 pounds, so the bags are put to significant punishment. It would be a good product to recommend to In addition to this, Amazon is as reliable and accessible as it can be. Packages are always well-protected and delivered in a timely manner.

This unit is a must-have After reading through most of the , I can conclude that
5/5

It is really impressive how well this anchor works. It does a remarkable job with my double-end bag, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Despite being heavy, it does not in any way give the impression it can fall apart. I strongly recommend this storage As I read through most of the reviews on Amazon or other avenues, I found that there was a common complaint about the ring/strap attachment fraying. It seems unlikely that we will see such a thing Due to the fact that I will not be using this bag with a heavy load, I cannot offer any comments on how it would perform.

If you have a double-storey building, buy this instead of a permanent anchor Presented as a bag at the end

During the winter months, I have a very small gym setup in my basement. Pro Mountings' I Beam Roller Mounting System review. Just as I wanted my heavy bags, I also wanted my double bags The end bag can be stored up and out of the way when not in use as well as being quick and easy to set up whenever you want. This is the perfect application for the bag anchor. By attaching a chain with about 5 links to the D ring, I can also control how taut the cords are, which allows me to control the bag's travel. As well, I slide the anchor bag out so that it is at an angle, allowing me to throw uppercuts without being interfered with by I like the flexibility and versatility it provides.
