Since I have used smaller tables in the past, I am familiar with what to expect, but I find that the tables here stand out simply because of their aesthetic appeal and high quality construction. I feel as if I was playing on a full-sized The playability of this table should be thought of from the point of view that it is a miniature game board. If you're perfect at tweaking your serve and spins on a smaller table, you'll be unbeatable on a full-size table as well. For example, two skilled players can stand back 3 feet from the table and exchange pretty fast balls for a long time. For kids as well, I believe smaller tables will help them become more skilled. Lucky shots at full size tables often work, but not so well at mini tables.
