This is a very strong and well-made product. Our grandchildren, ages 3 and 5, (as well as my husband, who uses it as a hammock to swing in the shade after a run) adore this well-made product that is simple to hang. And me. My grandkids squeal with delight when my husband swings them high in the air, and they also enjoy quiet time in the swing when I gently swing them so that they can both lie down and gaze up into the branches of our beech tree. I'm so glad we got it because it's a fantastic addition to our backyard!.
This is a fantastic swing that is also very durable. Because it is so long, it is best to use it on a swing set rather than a tall tree branch because the front edge can easily go over parallel with the top of the swing set, causing the front ropes to loosen, resulting in an unsafe situation. We bought it for relaxing swinging rather than crazy swinging, so it's perfect for us. It was simple to put together and appears to have a long lifespan, but only time will tell. br>br>I took a star off this review because the images shown make it appear much larger, and my kids were disappointed when they couldn't sit side by side like in the picture (despite the fact that I told them the image was fake when we looked at it).
There is so much to say! Putting everything together: Look at the stitching and make plans accordingly if there is a right side up. The key to sliding the last rod into the others is to ensure that the material on the other end is as far down as it can go, allowing you to insert the last rods with as much material as possible. Hanging: If you want to lay down and swing side to side or back and forth, connect the ropes on the short or long sides. To sit and swing, connect on the short side if possible, so your dog can sit beside you. ) Bought for one of our B&B guests, it's a little more whimsical than "just a hammock. " The previous guest had a child with special needs who was non-verbal and unable to communicate. It was a huge hit with her. She smiled and laughed and laughed as I laid her down and swung her around. Perfect! I discovered that it is best suited for a relaxing swing, not a rough house, go high and fast. Because my husband is much heavier than me (300 lb vs 115 lb), we attempted to sit and swing together. not good. I rolled toward him, and he felt like I wasn't going to be able to keep up with him. It's better for a single adult or a group of children. or a parent and a child, for example. I'm glad I purchased it because it was a lot of fun.
This is a good investment. It's not cheap, but I believe you get what you pay for in this case. It is frequently enjoyed by my wife and children. It's not janky in the least, and it's been sitting in direct sunlight since March/April, and the colors are still vibrant. To install about 35' up in the pinoak, I didn't need anything else. As a landscape/tree service vendor, I pruned the limbs to maximize swinging potential and safety. Comes with everything a professional installation would require, in my opinion.
It's a fantastic swing that comes with everything you need to hang it from a tree branch, but the straps are a little too long. We had to place it very high in a tree, making it difficult to reach. In one section of the limb, you'll also need a level sideways (transverse) limb. The swing will twist sideways if the straps are at different levels, with one being higher than the other. And our kids couldn't seem to stay away from the tree. So we'll have to look for a better location, but this is a fantastic swing! It's a huge hit! I'd suggest it.
Due to how tightly everything fits, this swing was a little difficult to assemble. It's a good thing Grandpa was around to help us put it all together. We had to replace the nuts with locking ones because they kept unscrewing while swinging, which was dangerous. The kids (and adults) had a great time swinging once that was fixed. The swing can support a lot of weight, but we've decided to limit the number of children who can use it because you can't stop the swing quickly, and even though the bars are padded, being hit hurts. If this does not last a long time, the children will be disappointed.
We put this up about two months ago. It appears to be of comparable quality to the round one we installed a year ago, which is still in good working order and going strong, so that's a good sign. br>br>I like that I can sit on it and read a book. The kids love it, and it's become a focal point for our outdoor gatherings. By adding two round/circle pieces, our preteens are now willing to go outside just to hang out on the swings, which we enjoy. It's also a lot of fun to hang out with friends.
It's fantastic; my kids love it, and all four of them can ride the swing at the same time. It's well worth the money, and I highly recommend it.
