Questions & Answers
To install grips on a 6x6, I used 2" galvanized lag screws with the same diameter as the ones that came with the product. Solid as a rock. For a tree, you may need slightly longer screws.
We simply put him in a random location.
I've scaled the kids' rock wall (I'm 210 pounds). This would be determined by the type of backing used to secure the holds. Make sure your backing is strong enough to prevent the bolts from pulling through. (I chose 3/4-inch plywood for this project.)

The Product: It's fantastic, easy to install, and my kids adore it. br>br>Client Service: Not very good. I had to send four emails before I got a semi-response. sufficient response to the question of tee size They're nuts (M10 x 1). (By the way, number 5). If you want to attach the holds to a mounted piece of wood and keep the ability to reposition the holds as your climbing skills improve without having to take the wood down each time, you'll need extra nuts. The first email response said they don't sell accessories separately (they didn't respond to my entire question). The screw dimensions were included in the second email response (which was inconvenient). According to the previous email, the third email response told me to buy more nuts (which was even less helpful). Finally, when I sent the specifications of a competitor's product, which listed the details in the product description, I received an answer that they were M10 sized in the fourth email. However, I had to go to Home Depot myself to find out what thread pitch to use, which is 1. It got a five-star rating from me. This is a star, so it speaks for itself. The Grips do exactly what they say on the tin. They haven't faded despite being exposed to direct sunlight for one summer. They're built to last. The construction note refers to how far the bolts protrude from the Tee's backside. Nuts, which can be attached to standard 2x lumber (1. I ended up buying shorter bolts because my kids play against the backside of their climbing wall and they stick out through the back side of the tee nut long enough for a kid to bump into the protruding end of the bolt.
The colors are vibrant, and the hardware is sturdy; however, the bolts are a bit long, and rubber caps to cover them would be helpful. Children can see the underside of the table. I'll make use of the ping-pong technique. ping pong balls to cover them with glue.
Our children spend the entire day climbing. Because I didn't care for the primary colors, I spray painted them, and they seem to be holding up well. We used 3/4 inch plywood, drilled into three 2x4s that are drilled into the studs, and I'm not sure what drill bit size we used to predrill the holes. br>It was fairly simple to install, but it took some time. It was half the size of a quarter and a quarter of the size of a half-dollar. br>It's not a problem for me to climb up with 200 pounds on my back. Very sturdy and strong. Climbing on these holds is a bit of a pain. Unlike regular rock wall holds, it is made of a very hard, firm plastic. It is a significant source of concern for us. The adults may be flat-footed, but the children are not. They've been awake for the entire day!.
Two rock climbing walls were erected by me. One for my younger children (ages 2 and 4). 3) and for my younger children (ages 5 and up), My sister, who weighs 185 pounds, is also a wall climber! I would strongly suggest it!.
Perfection in every way! We're putting together a "kids zone" room in our house, and these were a great addition! br>Installing into drywall, as we did, can be challenging. However, because the room is in an unfinished basement, we had access to the other side of the dry way (which I doubt would have been possible otherwise). br>br>Very pleased with purchase!.
These holds come with their own bolts and nuts, which are interchangeable, but the bolt will not fit other vendors' 3/8 t-bolts. a SAE 3/8-inch nut, or even a SAE 3/8-inch nut A hardware store sold me a 16 nut. To the naked eye, the pitch and diameter appear to be fine, but the bolt diameter appears to be slightly too large. Other vendors' 3/8 bolts will work in these T-nuts. It's pretty snuggly with nuts. If you don't plan on moving them around, the two-hole pattern is fine, but most climbing walls only have a grid of single bolt holes, so you'll have to use one bolt with these unless you want to duplicate the two-hole pattern all over your climbing wall.
We pre- We only used one of the washers on each bolt, despite the fact that it comes with two, and we drilled the holes to the size of the nut, not the bolt. We used 3/4" plywood for the backing and used a grinder to trim the bolts after they were installed. It looks fantastic, and despite our combined weight of over 200 pounds, my husband and I can both climb it.
