Greetings, and thank you for your interest in our company! br>as long as you have the necessary Lumber: It should be fine if you use one 2'' x 4'' x 4'' for mounting.br>Have a great day!
Yes, a 4x4 or 4x6 beam will work.
Approx. 45" in length; Width (handle bar to handle bar): 16"; Height (handle bar to handle bar): 16" 29" tall from the bottom of the foot pedal to the top of the handle bar. Furthermore, the distance between the top of the foot pedal and the seat is about 15 inches. Search for "How I Built My Own Backyard Swing Set" to see my personalized setup. Because there is no practical way to secure a child in this seat, your child must be able to sit and touch the pedals while swinging, as well as hold on to the handle bars. Best of luck!
No, we added a second board to our swing set beam that was perpendicular to it. After that, two hooks were drilled in.

With the exception of the items listed below, this is a well-designed product. The seats and handles are superior to all others on the market; however,br>br>HOWEVER: The swing came in a box with a lot of tape all over it. When I opened it, I discovered that the swing itself was in good condition, but that all of the hardware (what was left of it) was loose and rattling around inside the box. I'm not sure if this was a returned item with parts missing or if the packaging was simply inadequate. Except for the 6" bolts that pivot the three parts of the swing, I figured I had everything I needed. Fortunately, I had the necessary bolts on hand; the majority of the missing components were related to the chains' attachment to the swings' frame. I didn't mind because I was replacing a swing with all of the necessary attachments. br>br>So, DESIGN FLAW 1: The chains that are provided are flimsy and inexpensive. I'd never use them and instead repurposed the heavy-duty chains from the swing that had to be replaced. The supplied chains also lacked the rubbery coating that the salvaged chains did to prevent finger pinches. DESIGN FLAW NO. 2: The two pivot points that connect the seats to the handle/footrest on the old swing that was replaced failed, and this swing will most likely fail in the same way. Two pivot pins (5/16" bolts) bear directly on the thin plastic of the seat assembly, which is a design flaw. This puts a lot of concentrated pressure on these pivot points, which eventually wears through the plastic and causes the swing to fall apart. Instead, I made some brass bushings out of 1/4" bass pipe from the hardware store, so that all of the movement while the swing is swinging is between the steel bolt and the brass bushing, rather than between the bolts and the soft plastic. This is something the manufacturer should think about when designing the product. br>br>In summary, a well-designed swing seat and handles, a poorly-designed pivot mechanism, insufficient chains with no pinch protection, and completely insufficient packaging.
It comes with everything you need to get started, including hardware and simple instructions. The Mega Rider's foot rests, unlike those on other teeter totters, have no open areas where children's feet could become stuck. I ordered it from Amazon and it arrived quickly. Although there is very little assembly required, we did have some difficulty aligning the parts. It made a loud groan every time it went back and forth when the kids rode it. When I called the company, they said they had never heard of that complaint before and that an entire replacement would be sent out within a few days. The second one went together smoothly and included new hardware (threaded cap nut instead of pressure-fit cap). A reliable product backed up by a trustworthy company.
For me, this was more of an inconvenience than a problem. To secure the 2x4s to the support beam, you'll also need your own screws. (4x4 in my case) I'm not sure why they couldn't just include the screws when the rest of the hardware is already there. br>br>I'm pleased with the swing's final result, and it's getting a lot of use. Despite the odd lack of basic hardware and other installation hassles, I would recommend this.
He built it out of 4x4 and attached it to our swing set made of wood. It's a big hit with my grandchildren, ages 4 to 10. My 25-year-old daughter has even tried it (and I have as well). It teaches the children how to collaborate in order to get things started. This is an excellent product, especially in the event of a pandemic.
It's a hit with the kids, and it's also very durable. Because this was a replacement, we already had the bracket in place. The only problem we encountered was during the assembly process. The holes to connect the seat were not drilled out on one side of the handled part, which could be a major issue for someone without a drill. We used the longer chains from our old glider because the ones that came with it were too short for our 4-year-old to get up onto. Everything is now in working order, and anyone can jump on and fly high.
Much more durable than the green one we had before, though I used the old glider's chains and mounting bracket so I didn't have to deal with any of that. It did, however, come with mounting hardware and instructions (which my old green swing set lacked), but I didn't need them because my swing set was already set up for it.
It looks well-made and long-lasting. It is extremely popular with the grandchildren, who use it on a daily basis. Suitable for children aged 3 and up.
I made a playset for our two-year-old son, and one of the features was this Mega Rider. Hanging and putting it together was a breeze. There are no sharp edges or plastic "burs" on the mega rider. The product's build, form, and function have all exceeded my expectations. This item came with everything you need to put it together except the lumber.
