They aren't hollow bolas at all. A small poly bag of sand is used to weight them down to the same weight as a golf ball. It gives you the best playing weight while keeping the softer bola safe. It's like having the best of both worlds.
On each bola, there are 11 balls. 5" apart.
China is most likely! They were delivered quickly and are of good quality for the money.
You will receive three strings of blue bolas and three strings of red bolas. or a single set of bolas with which to play the game AND! They're a top-notch item - I'd like to point out that this is a fantastic product. because each string has two bolas There are six strings total. 12 is the result of multiplying two numbers by six.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, AMAZON! Not only were replacement ladderball balls cheap, but they could also be delivered the next day. I crossed my fingers that they'd show up in time for the party. THEY DID, and they were at my house by 10 a. m. On a SUNDAY, at 00 a. m. ! They're well-made and come in a resealable bag. br> I didn't realize it until after I had cut it, which was unfortunate. Playing one fewer bola or removing it entirely from the game with only two bolas per team didn't feel quite the same. I bought these EXACT replacements to get back to square one, and I have a few extra in case the others fail. to say the least.
They're larger and softer than golf balls, which appeals to me. However, after a few months, the string on almost all of them snapped. They faded as well, but that's not something I'm concerned about. We never had any sand leaks, and the problem could be solved by using a stronger string. The balls are in good condition, but there is no way to replace the string. I suppose we'll have to order the golf ball type again.
These Ladderball bolas were a great replacement for the ones I had before. Ladderball can now be paid again. However, the distance between the two ends is shorter than I had anticipated, as the connecting cord on my previous set was about 3 inches longer. It takes some getting used to playing with the shorter bolas, but they work fine in the end.
I haven't had the opportunity to put them to use yet - The picnic on July 4th, on the other hand, is quickly approaching. It appears to be of high quality. But I'd keep them safe from the elements. My previous set, which I purchased at Walmart, became brittle and eventually broke open. This plastic appears to be more pliable and, hopefully, more long-lasting.
These aren't quite what I was looking for, but they get the job done. The feel of them was our favorite feature. We have a ladder ball set up in front of the garage, and we've had a few regulars hit us. These didn't fly as far or cause as much pain as the others. Another advantage was that they could be thrown by smaller children. I would have given them 5 stars all the way around if we hadn't had to put the games away so quickly.
