Selected User Reviews For GoSports Premium Metal Ladder Toss Game Set, White
If necessary, sandbags will be placed on the legs. If your case is being ripped apart by metal pieces, put the box in the bag and reassemble the pieces. There's no need to discard the box. For added protection, use it as a case liner. I've done this with my bocce ball and croquet sets, and they're still in great shape (if a little dirty). lol). I was concerned about the plastic inserts that hold the upright pieces in place, but they are taller and more durable than I anticipated. And it appears that they can be replaced if necessary. And I adore the red-and-blue scoring system. On one of the upright pieces, there are blue magnets. The bolos also float, which is ideal. By chance, one of them fell into the pool.
Joints made of plastic Avoid. I bought it because the all-plastic versions only last a couple of days, so I was excited to see that this one was made of metal. However, because the connectors for attaching the upright to the legs are flimsy plastic, it was clear when we put it together that it would have limited durability. They will, without a doubt, break soon. Look at the photos I took. br>br>Why would someone create such strong framing only to connect it at the most critical point with such a poor method? br>br>I was willing to pay more, but I got something that was just as fragile as the cheaper plastic models.
The crossbars and posts are very sturdy, and the set is quite nice. It is simple to put together and take apart. The piece connecting the upright posts to the base is made of plastic, as mentioned by another reviewer. As a result, there are some concerns about its long-term viability. The bolas are also very soft, but two of them were leaking sand right out of the bag, and after a few uses, the leaking bolas have become noticeably lighter. It's possible that you'll need to buy a new set of bolas. Aside from that, the collection is fantastic.
Update: The customer service department is sending us new bolos as well as a magnet that we had misplaced. They've been a breeze to work with and respond to my emails quickly. br>br>I bought it in August and it's great. There are no issues. It was extremely simple to put together. It was first played by the kids in July, and then we didn't play it again until late September. In the meantime, the white ropes disintegrated in the bag, even when kept out of direct sunlight. It's a very fine and soft nylon rope, so when kids started throwing them, they simply fell apart. What a letdown! I'll send a letter to the company requesting a more durable replacement.
It's simple to set up and take down, and the bag makes it convenient to transport. The only thing I wish it came with is some sort of anchor to secure it to or in the ground because it's not a particularly heavy set, and the ladders do move around a bit during play. I anchor them to the ground with bent wire. It's a simple fix, and the balls on a string you throw are a little lighter than I'm used to, but I'm used to playing with a heavier set. Aside from that, it performs admirably.
This ladder ball set is fantastic. It takes a few minutes to set up, but I love how easily it disassembles and fits into the carrying case. I've had this set up in my backyard as well as at work events and tailgates. Most people are unfamiliar with the game but fall in love with it once they play it. I expect to have to replace the bolos at some point, but they've held up well so far - Despite having spent the majority of the summer in the scorching heat of Vegas.
I decided to try a metal ladder ball set after reading several reviews of plastic ladder ball sets that broke after only a few uses. I was concerned that I was taking a chance because there was only one other review for this product, but I must say that I am very pleased with it. br>It was very easy to assemble, and the metal ladders are clearly not going to break with normal use. Because we have young children, the bolos are soft, which is ideal for us. There's no reason for someone to be injured while having a good time. br>We expect to have a lot of fun with this set.
Arrived on time and in good condition. To ensure that all parts are intact and fit, they were immediately unboxed and assembled. It was simple to put together (with only two people) and appeared to be well-made. The balls are very soft, so we'll see how they hold up over time (depending on whether you play on grass or concrete, of course!). )br>I agree with the reviewer's suggestion of leaving the box inside the carry bag to keep it sturdy and secure. The magnetic score keepers appear to be quite strong, so hopefully they will stay attached throughout the game. In any case, it's unclear whether they'll be used.
