These have a great overall design, but the score indicator is the only flaw. When I received my set, both of them were broken, so I had to cut my own PVC pipe to get them to work so I could record the score. The balls themselves, which resemble golf balls, are made of plastic, and mine have already begun to crack after only one day of use!.
There are also visual instructions. In terms of the ladders' quality, I found the stands to be properly weighted, and we played on our mowed field with no issues with stability. The balls seemed to be a good weight and worked well. Overall, I would give this a solid 10 based on the speed with which it was delivered, the quality of the product, and the ease with which it was used. If you plan to disassemble these after each use, there is a bag included. Someone suggested removing the bases and hanging the units for storage, which I believe I will do, but it's nice to have options.
Hello, I'd like to point out that the seller is very fair and will go out of their way to assist you. The item is well-made and durable, though, as with all PVC products, I can imagine it becoming stuck and broken over time. The weight is pleasant, though not excessively so, and as I had never used a ladder golf set tip before, this was a minor but welcome feature. It came in a well-made and well-organized bag. The only criticism I have is that the pipe scoring is incorrectly depicted. It's a dark grey on black instead of the white on black shown, which makes it more difficult to see. But that's all there is to it. The rest of the experience was well worth it.
The "tournament" was attended by parents and grandparents alike. We've played it several times since then, and it's a great activity for all ages. Even though there appears to be some skill involved, there is never a "sure" winner because the bolos can wrap and unwrap quickly with even the best throw, resulting in a lot of cheering and laughter.
Two of the balls were also cracked when they arrived. Rather than returning the entire game to Amazon for exchange, I contacted the company for replacement parts so that my children could continue to play it. Not only did I receive a prompt email response, but after sending pictures of the missing or cracked pieces, replacement parts were delivered to my door within days. Excellent and frequent communication was also provided. I would strongly recommend this company because they not only want you to enjoy the product, but they also want to make things right if you aren't happy!.
We like how it's both portable and sturdy, thanks to the carrying case. The fact that it is weighted helps to keep it in place while playing, and the scoring indicator made keeping track of our scores a breeze. The "golf balls" aren't real golf balls, but we used them on grass and concrete and they held up well, with no cracks as described in other reviews. Our family had a great time playing this game and spending quality time outside!.
Not so much when I took the balls out of the bag. Each of the six sets has a shorter distance between the balls than any other ladder ball game I've ever played, and the red ones are 1. The blue ones are 25" shorter. I've been in contact with the manufacturer via email, but no resolution has been reached. Because of this, I'm giving it a 3 or 4 star rating. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. The company sent us a completely new set, and everything is in working order this time. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! In today's world, this is extremely unusual.
The unit is simple to put together. Because the more expensive model is a little heavier, I went with it. stable. It is not going to topple. Worth it. Balls are more likely to collide with it, spin around, and stay in place. Even children as young as five years old can play reasonably well. If you have a large hallway with no items that can be knocked over, this is a fun outdoor family game to play.
