These were bought for my 3rd and 5th graders to encourage them to be active outdoors. The installation was quite simple, and they were able to begin playing right away. Playing with it like you normally would led to the ball breaking away from the string within a few days. Therefore, I contacted the seller to give her a chance to resolve the issue. It seemed like it would be easy for them to send a new ball with good customer service. They didn't even reply to my message after waiting five days. it to the seller, which took up a lot of time. Buyers beware! I'm disappointed more by the lack of customer service than the poor quality of the product.
The kit presented itself as a great tetherball set UNTIL we began to use It broke the first day the tetherball tie loop was on the ball. Two of my sons (7 and 6 years old) were hitting the ball around the pole and they damaged the tie loop on the ball. Our only option now is to use the tether rope since we don't have a tie loop on the ball. I don't like it that much.
The set was mostly as expected, but not all of it was there. Despite ordering the product, I have not received it all. I received a message that it was not being delivered because of I found it on my porch the same day it arrived via USPS. I received just the pole and sleeve in terms of pop arts. The material was very sturdy, and I found that to be very pleasing. I was disappointed because the box was so badly damaged that it was impossible to return. In the end, I chose and reordered another tetherball with a rope with which I was pleased. Although I would have liked a complete set, I would not have mind getting.
A later date will be the time to reorder.
I made this for my granddaughter as a gift, it was easy to put together.
This product is high quality, but the instructions aren't suitable for climates involving freezing ground. Directly infiltrating the sleeve into the cement will create a bucket which will overflow and freeze, cracking the foundation. Place the sleeve on 4" of gravel and then place the cement in the hole. This allows the moisture to drain away.
