Questions & Answers

When it is packed down, how small is it? What's the maximum number of people that can go in a trunk of a midsize car?

It consists of a top, chains, and a base that you separate and put in the basket. There are two 2-foot pipes that reach into the basket. This is about 1/2 foot in length. Most of the contents fit in the basket part, although some of the pipes peek out.

Is it possible to leave it outside without it rusting?

My lawn mower has been outside year-round, but the paint is fading. I have kept it outside for a full year. It is not rusted, but it will be brought in over

Can you tell me the height of the basket when ?

I'd say five and a half feet tall

A review of Purple's work
5/5

To start with, I was going to give 5 stars to this product. The set is easy to assemble, it looks good, and it works Since I have had mine a month, I feel much better. Riss is already beginning to form on the chains. Is there any reason to make a product for an outdoor sport that cannot be left in the open air? In finding out that they usually rust, I would have at least kept them covered, but I probably wouldn't have bought them. I am very disappointed. The product is of poor quality and the price is too high. A new update has been issued! As soon as I contacted Discraft, a replacement was sent to me. It was a manufacturer defect in the zinc coating that caused the chains to rust, but they fixed As of now, I have rated this product as 5 stars. The product is great at a great price and the customer service is outstanding!.

For the price, this is a great catching basket
5/5

In my search for a good catching, all metal, portable basket, I focused on metal. This was my choice between the MVP basket and this one. Buying this one was easy for me since Discraft's headquarters are in Michigan, and I live in a neighboring state, and their products generally appeal to me. Generally, the construction is good. However, there are some threads on almost every piece that I find to be a bit disappointing. I was worried that I was going to rip out the threads on the lower pipe beneath the cage because the threads were so bad. Despite using a tap and die to clean up the internal and external threads and using anti-seize to prevent any future issues, I'm sure that 90% of people buying this won't have one around to clean up threads that should not I have one more thing to mention. There is a chance that this basket might be loud at times. It would be beneficial to fill the upper tube or pipe with expanding foam if you'd like to try and quiet it down. My life has been improved by that. It is, however, a great value in the long run. Ensure that all the threads on the assembly are in good condition if you plan on dismantling it repeatedly.

I don't know how to explain this, but it's horrible
3/5

This basket is so much fun to use that I wanted to spend too much time using it before I write Having used the software for two years in steady use, I have the following Despite the fact it comes with stakes for securing its base, it is heavy enough that I haven't found myself needing them. 2) The basket is very solid and generally well constructed. There is quite a bit of weight to it. Although I am a 6'1" guy, I've had no problems moving it around, but its weight by no means makes it light. ** 2) I keep the basket in my shed when not in use, so it hasn't been exposed to the elements. Even so, I have noticed a few spots of rust in various places. There is nothing major here, but it is worth highlighting. It would be nice if you didn't have to deal with the pure misery of a humid, midsummer day You wouldn't have a problem with it during the west summers. 2) It is quick and easy to put together and disassemble.

4) And now to the Discs just aren't that good at being caught by it. There is a very small sweet spot in this basket which I have never seen in any other. It is possible that I am not in the best of health Though I have played disc golf all over America on some pretty cool courses, I have never been to Alaska. If I were to be completely honest and straight up, the Chainstar Lite is probably on the same level as Mach II Unless the disc lands so low that it barely makes it over the rim, it won't be caught by the basket on the weak side. The baskets on this course would make me really mad if I were to play on it. The downside to it, however, is that my putting has had to improve significantly because of its crappiness. I can be almost certain that if I get a putt to stick on the Chainstar Lite, it will also stick on any other basket. The basket I bought was the Chainstar lite at a price difference of around $75 when I did my initial research. I was trying to narrow it down to either the Innova Discatcher or the Chainstar lite. There was enough difference between Chainstar and Icy for me to choose Is there anything I would have changed if I had gone with the Innova? The answer is yes. The basket has a lot to offer at a reasonable price, but I appreciate what it has to offer. It is difficult for me to give a more than tepid recommendation. Going for the Innova Discatcher is the path I would recommend if you have the budget for it.

This is a fantastic portable basket
5/5

If you're looking for a "portable" basket, you won't find a better one. Its easy assembly and sturdy construction will guarantee that it will catch everything. The basket catches everything and is very easy to assemble without the stakes. I have had my mind outside during 50 MPH winds, rain, snow, and sleet and it hasn't been affected at all. One thing I did notice and that other people have said the same thing is that it does need a sound dampener (paint roller slides down smoothly or you can simply cut it to size There are several great baskets out there, but the Chainstar Lite is hands down the best! I have played on the recruit, mvp black hole, axiom, and the old portable Mach Vs. There's no need to worry about disappointment.

Construction of this building is impressive
5/5

My expectations for what I could get at this price range were exceeded by this basket. The product weighs in at about 40 pounds, and is extremely heavy duty. I like the chains because they catch well and are heavy. As a result, the basket is deeper than most of its peers It is more of a real silver color than what is shown in the picture even though the picture shows the silver version. I like the look of it. The product is fantastic. I'm very happy with it.

It is chains that cause discs to fail
3/5

For the price, I thought this basket was the most portable on the market. However, I was shocked when I learned it is a cheap basket that damages Chains are cheap and do not connect well, so there are sharp edges on every chain, and since the channels are metal, they continually chip away at your discs. After I got a basket to practice putting on, I only use it to practice putting, but now I really don't have any interest in it since the chain chipped my disc. Aside from that, the basket top came dented, so every spot where there had been a loss of paint during transit now shows rust. I am an avid disc golf player and a huge Discraft fan, and this was a complete waste of money.

I don't recommend it for lefties
3/5

As an experiment, I chose this basket because I was hoping to practice putting over the winter, but after setting up the heavier than necessary chainstar, I discovered that it favors right-handed throwers due to Since I am left handed, this was a disadvantage to me, and my catching abilities have suffered.
