Questions & Answers
The dartboard came with a hanger, so we first hung a 4 x 4 plywood on the wall, then hung the dartboard on a stud.
Today, I got mine. The box only contains the board.
It's a very nice dartboard, and I don't see why it wouldn't work in a garage. It's extremely durable and won't absorb moisture unless you're in a particularly humid environment.
It simply comes with metal brackets that you attach to the back of the board and hang from a screw mounting system on your wall, in this case a backboard wall protector.

I returned the Viper Razorback and was replaced by this Winmau Diamond. There is a clear distinction in quality between these two boards. For four weeks, I used the Viper board, which showed every dart mark I threw at it. This board's sissle hasn't healed yet. The Winmau, on the other hand, is a completely unique creature. In the few days I've had it, I've thrown about 150 darts at it and have yet to find a single mark. It's also heavier and feels much more solidly constructed; for $10 more than the Viper, it's a no-brainer. Winmau has hit the target!.
This Winmeau is as genuine as it gets. Darts are of excellent quality and sink in quickly and effectively. Bounce outs are helped by the beveled wire; they do happen, but not frequently. Although I don't play every day, this thing appears to be capable of withstanding hours of daily practice. Dimensions can be found in the photos, and it weighs a total of 10 pounds. Yes, it weighs ten pounds, so take your time. With the included hardware, it's a snap to set up.
Attach the leaf springs to the back of the board with a tack, mostly by screwing one fat screw into a pre-drilled hole. behind the bullseye, a hole was drilled. Tape the ground and hang 7 feet 9 and 3/4 inches away. Darts should be thrown. It took me less than 5 minutes to set everything up. br>br>Beautiful board that couldn't be simpler to set up, and there are plenty of apps on your phone to help you keep score if you don't want to do it yourself.
It's clear that this isn't the best dartboard in the world, but it's a great deal and a lot of fun. The dividers in the shape of diamonds are fantastic. They haven't gotten a single bounce out of them. Only around the larger bullseye area, where all the dividers converge, have I had bounce outs. They overlap the outer bullseye area, which causes more bounce outs than I'd like, but the red central bullseye has no staples or overlaps and has never caused a bounce out. Overall, the board appears to be very sharp and cool. br>br> The colors are vibrant and contrasted well, and it is also very durable. Even the border is made of metal, and the board appears to be quite heavy. The self-healing appears to be on par. It's neither amazing nor terrible, in my opinion. There isn't a whole lot to say. Even with a lot of use, I expect the board to last for years. The mounting kit included everything I needed and took only 5 minutes to complete. There was no swaying or unevenness, so it wasn't a difficult task. br>br>This board is a lot of fun for me and my two kids, and I'm surprised at how much they play. I'm pleased with my purchase, and if it were stolen, I would buy it again.
Usually only come in with friends to play games. I've been throwing four games of cricket every night since I got this board to practice, and the board has healed beautifully. Although it is not necessary to rotate the number ring at this time, it is a useful feature to have in the future. The razor wire is a godsend. There haven't been any bouncebacks in a long time! Shooting at the bull (thicker wire rings) is the only way to get a bounce back. This is a well-made board with many useful features. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy board that can easily handle a large number of darts. Winmau, I appreciate your help.
It's a fantastic product that's extremely thick and durable. br>br>However, you'll have to put some thought into mounting it. It's only held together by a single thick screw. The head of the screw is slid into a bracket. Two more screws are used to secure the bracket to the wall. Because the screws are long and close together, you'll need to find a sturdy wall to mount them on. br>br>I needed two different mounting locations for the same dartboard, so I purchased a second mounting bracket from Amazon. It's the perfect complement to this dartboard. br>br>I'm very happy with this dartboard; there's nothing like sinking a difficult shot to make you feel good! For many years to come, it will be a lot of fun. It's highly suggested!.
First and foremost, I'm in love with this dartboard so far! (If anything changes, I'll update this review) So far, there hasn't been much bounce out, just a few unlucky shots. The only thing I'd change about this board is the number ring around the outside (which I did). I taped off all the numbers and painted the rest of the ring black to keep the white numbers from blending in with the white ring. The Winmau "W" logo was also painted green so that the white numbers would stand out and it would be easy to see where all the numbers were. I also applied a coat of paste wax to the wooden back, as I'll be taking it outside to play on occasion and don't want it to absorb any moisture. This is a fantastic board that, if properly cared for, will last a long time. Remember to rotate the ring so that the same sections do not wear out all of the time.
Darts fly into the board and stay there for a long time. Everyone who has used it has been blown away.
