Selected User Reviews For Unicorn Eclipse Pro Dart Board with Ultra Slim Segmentation – 30% Thinner Than Conventional Boards – For Increased Scoring and Reduced Bounce-Outs

For $50, this is easily the best board
5/5

Following other reviews of people not being happy with their boards when they arrived, I made sure to inspect this board closely when it arrived. It arrived ready to use in the box, no damage! My brother has been playing darts casually with friends for a while now, and I can definitely tell the difference between a high quality and a low quality board. This board is high quality and a much better value than most other similar boards out there. The Eclipse Pro is a perfect board if you don't want to look like a chump who spent $15 on it at Walmart, but if you don't want to spend $100 either. I prefer it over any Viper board I've ever used.

The Unicorn standards I have come to expect from the company have not been met
3/5

Less than two months have passed since I have been practicing on the board at home. The segments had good color definition, and the blade wires were nicely embedded. As soon as the board was assembled in less than two weeks, bristles started coming out of it, showing that there wasn't enough adhesive used during assembly. When I was being poked several times, the last time causing me to cut myself, I discovered one of the blade wires was damaged and a sharp point was sticking above the board surface. Seeing as where the manufacturer's country of origin was not listed in the description, I expected a board made in England.

Among the best dart boards in the world
4/5

The board has a reasonable closing capacity for the holes left by darts. My history with Winmau dates back a long time, but, having purchased the Blade 5 recently, I was disappointed in the quality of the board. I found that this Unicorn board was about $20 less expensive than the Winmau Blade 4 or 5, and that it is equally A few negatives include the mounting hole being close to non-existent on the back One of the nails used for nailing in the three rubber bumpers had a bent end, so getting the screw in was a bit difficult. A quick update My Unicorn board is still going strong after a few weeks of daily practice. I am glad I took a chance on them because they have exceeded.

I am disappointed beyond belief
3/5

As a replacement for the cheap Accudart board I previously owned, I purchased this board. As a result of recently starting to play darts again, I wanted to get a board similar to the one we use at the place where I play on a regular basis (Winmau Blade 4) to match my experience. Based on my research, I narrowed down my choice between the Blade 4 and this board. Due to the fact that this board is listed for $10 cheaper than the Winmau, but has the same features, as well as looking to be almost the same quality, I decided to buy it. I received the board on 5/5/15, and when I opened the box, I was not satisfied with the quality of the board. It looked so bad out of the box that I made sure I had not opened it had either been used before and repackaged and sold as new, or it was a factory second. Instead of returning it, I should have packed it up and sent it back, but I needed a better board so I kept My experience with the board thus far has been about three hours based on two practices.

I have a few issues with the board 1. There is a very rough look to it in general. My expectations weren't met as far as a clean, new look is concerned. Images on Amazon or the Unicorn web site do not look nearly as nice as those on the website. On the front of the board where the 16 is located, there is a large scar, and it is obvious that it has been 1. 2. 3. A very apparent bump can be located in the center of the bullseye. The fourth point. Number 2 is primarily painted in enamel, and most of the paint is chipped away. Note 5. It is difficult to tell where the double- and triple-score areas are, the colors are not spread evenly, and the areas look Item 6. Along the ends of the wires where the 12 and 5 are located, gobs of glue appear to have built up. The seventh point. The marks left by darts are readily visible. The dents are not holes, but rather small ones. That was not what I expected. Each blade 4 we use at the club gets thousands of darts thrown at it each week and shows very little wear. In any event, I will keep the board since I have used it, but I would NOT recommend anyone buy this board. Here's one consolation prize for poor dart play. We just completed the league for this year, and I won a brand new Blade 4. Seeing two new ones side by side will help me compare them. Out of the box, the Blade 4 appears to be a good pro tournament quality dart board. Better than this 20 times over. There is nothing special about this board. It is like one from Wal-Mart that costs $20 At the moment, this board is available for $49 from Mart. This item is available on Amazon for $45 right now. With a 59-degree angle, the Winmau Blade 4 is a great hunting rifle. You might be interested in a non-profit organization If you need a stapled bristle dartboard in this price range, do not get this one but instead buy the To save $10 would be a waste of time and effort. I have added some pictures to this to show what I'm talking about with the issues with this board, as well as a picture of it next to the Blade 4 so you can see what I mean.

You should be careful when buying

It would be better if I could give this forum a zero star rating. A mounting kit was not included with the board. It appears that the board is used as well, despite its description stating it was brand Several holes and chunks are missing from the board. We will be returning it as soon as possible.

This was a good buy at the price and for the quality I received it at It is an excellent dartboard, but some have complained of fluff or tufts on it
5/5

I'm over the moon! This was a good buy at the price and for the quality I received it at Dartboard - good board, some complained of 'fluffing' or fiber pieces coming out - but we have not noticed this. One place I noticed a few small hairs of fiber pulled, but I did not touch them. They did not appear to be loosening on any other level. They have, in fact, returned to their original state. (I hadn't noticed since. A local mega-store sold me heavy wire board for my first board, but this one was thicker I have a mart and some darts of 18gm. My 14gm darts moved to 22, then 23, then 28gm (tungsten) darts and this board! WOW! Unicorn makes a great product, it is easy to understand why people are so taken with the sport. This wire does not deform (at least to me!) And does not cause my darts to foul, and I don't get the automatic dart return that I used to have with the heavy wire! Nice.

This board was used at the world championships for a reason
5/5

It is the best in class. With no bounce outs and ultra-thin framing, this product is of premium quality. If anyone is bashing on this forum, he or she is probably a Winmau zealot, hellbent on writing negative reviews about anything that is not.
