Questions & Answers

What is the difference between this and the Phase 10 card game? It has a similar ring to it. ?

Both card games are challenging, but Phase10 is a little longer and requires players to complete their suit before moving on to the next level. Even so, the winner is determined by the highest score. Both of these games are a blast to play. We spend a lot of time with our now 13-year-old (she began playing when she was 9 or 10 years old). Quiddler is another entertaining game. Everything was enjoyable for the entire family.

Is the plastic treated in any way?

Yes, the same type of coating that we use on our regular (4-suited) playing cards.

What's the difference between the one that costs $15 and the one that doesn't? The number 52, as well as the $9 one. 02?

The higher-priced one includes a wood box in which to store the cards, whereas the lower-priced one simply requires you to return the cards to their original box.

Is Kings in the Corner the same game as this one? Or something along those lines?

Kings in the Corner and Five Crowns are two of our most popular games. It keeps things interesting because each round is unique. They are completely different games, but they are both enjoyable. br>It's a game that we play with people aged 12 to 87.

Please replace the fake card games that I have
3/5

I ordered two sets of this card game and, after being dissatisfied with them for several months, I contacted SET Enterprises to express my dissatisfaction. It's difficult to read the "yellow star" card. It's a thin card stock. There is no comparison to the quality of my Barnes and Nobles original set. I discovered that the two sets I bought on Amazon in February were not the ones I thought they were. The numbers 4, 2018, are fake.

As a social game, it's quite enjoyable

I used to play Skip-Bo with a few friends. Then there was Bo, and then there was 5 Crowns. There was no going back. Since then, we have been playing 5 Crowns. It's a fantastic rummy game to play. a game in the style of We have a three-player game. There are 6 players, and the game is self-contained. Limiting the amount of time spent on the game: each game has 11 hands, and we usually finish in about an hour. Of course, you are free to play multiple games; we keep score but don't care about the outcomes - There's no need to stress.

Increase the lifespan of your cards by 6 times! While I'm not a big fan of 'rummy-style' games, This game is a ten on my harsh scale of'style' games
5/5

It's rummy on a higher level! br>br>Here's a secret that the manufacturer doesn't want you to know about that will extend the life of your cards by five years. 6 times the amount of time We put the used cards aside after each hand and only deal from the unused cards after that. People may argue that "we already used a lot of jokers (or the next wild card) so we need to shuffle," but after years of playing this way, I can attest that it makes no difference because everyone is on an equal footing. I've challenged skeptics to speak up if they notice even the tiniest difference in the game, and everyone has agreed that it didn't make a difference. br>br>If you're going to play two-player games, You'll only have to shuffle three times if you're playing one-handed! Once to start, once after the wild 8's, and once after the 11's or 12's (depending on the situation). 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 2 11 Shuffle the cards before each hand to greatly extend their life (despite the fact that we've gone through a dozen sets).

Adults will enjoy it, but a 7-year-old will not
5/5

After receiving UNO as a Christmas gift, my 7-year-old daughter became enamored with the game and wanted to try out other card games. To be honest, out of the 5 or so I bought her, this isn't one of her favorites. My guess is that this is because the game lacks a little oomph when compared to some of the more kid-friendly games (there aren't any cute cartoon characters on the cards or anything), it's a little difficult for a 7-year-old, and keeping score over multiple hands doesn't appeal to a 7-year-old's attention span. br>br>I'm sure you're wondering why I gave it five stars at this point. Well, my wife and I both enjoy this game, so while I considered giving it four stars, I decided to give it five for the time being (although see below for card quality). There are no 2s or Aces in this game, but there is a 5th suit and a lot of wild cards, making it similar to rummy. You basically play rummy, starting with a 3 card hand, then a 4 card hand, then a 5 card hand, and so on up to a 13 card hand. If you don't go out first, you get one more turn to get rid of any 3 card runs you have, and those you can't lay, you get stuck with points (a low score is good) based on how high of a card you have. At the end of the 13 card hand round, the player with the lowest score br>br>I like the game because it allows you to play with two players and still have a good time- That seems to be a rare find in card games in general, and it is a nice find for me and my wife because a) I like rummy but find it a little boring, and this game jazzes it up enough to make it more interesting, and b) it is not super complex, and I find it relaxing to play (I will say that mentally digesting all the cards and possible runs you have in the 12 and 13 card hands does get a little more complex, but it isn't bad It also moves quickly; we played through the three levels in about 30 minutes. There are 13 card hands in total. br>br>I will say that I do not believe these cards are of high quality, especially since I purchased several card games at once and had something to compare them to. They appear to be thin and lack a sheen, as if they are protected by a protective laquer coating. If we use them frequently, I'm not sure how well they'll hold up over time. One thing I like about the game is that it comes in a good-sized box with a small tray for the cards. Many of these games come in much larger boxes than are necessary, with no place to store the cards, making the game more difficult to transport and store.

It will keep you entertained for hours
5/5

This is a fun game for us to play. It's simple to do and takes a short amount of time. And the game isn't truly over until the Kings go crazy - My 95-year-old mother, on the other hand, appears to win more frequently than the rest of us! I bought it for her for Christmas because we play it a lot and she wants to play with her friends (they play cards once a week for hours). As a result, it's best suited to children aged eight to twelve. 99!.

It's a fun game with a lot of action
5/5

This is a fantastic card game that is similar to rummy but with five suits of cards rather than four. The game's rules are simple, and it's simple to pick up, but it's challenging because each hand has a different wild card. You start with only three cards, and the threes are wild, and you work your way up to kings (13 cards, and kings are wild), with jokers always wild. The game is fast-paced and addictive, and a player can fall behind throughout the game and still win in the end. We were recommended this game, and we're glad we gave it a shot.

Chemical odor is very strong
3/5

We've now purchased our fourth set of cards for this game, which we play frequently. The cards in this set are the only ones that have a strong chemical odor. The odor was so strong that it gave us headaches the first time we used it. In addition, the card construction appeared to be more akin to heavy paper used in children's games than standard playing cards. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I declared the deck to be defective, and Amazon promptly sent me a replacement set (thank you). I just opened them, and they have the same revolting odor. Set Enterprises is in the market for a new card manufacturer. I've put them on trays in my garage to see if the odor will go away. Because I've read in some reviews that counterfeit decks are being sent out, I'm either going to get another deck or ordering one from somewhere else. br>br>2nd Update: br>br> I made direct contact with Set Enterprises because I don't want to be without this game. They requested that I send them photos of the box's front and back, as well as the lot number. They replaced the deck with a new one that didn't have the strong odor. Although I had to put in some effort, the company was extremely helpful in resolving the issue.
