I looked at a few different options before settling on this one, which was slightly more expensive, because it had room for both my shoes and extra pockets for my supplies on the top. It arrived today, and this is NOT what it appears to be! There are no pockets for your shoes or anything else besides your bowling balls. Three pockets are shown in the illustration for items not related to your bowling balls. There's only one small pocket on the front, which isn't even big enough to hold your shoes! After paying extra for a faster delivery and it not arriving on time, finding out it is nothing like what was advertised is more than disappointing! I'd give it a zero, but I'm not allowed to submit anything without at least a one-star rating. This will be returned immediately, but I will have to wait for credit to replace it.
My son is now a member of the bowling team at his school. We only had one ball bag, but he recently received a second one. He specifically requested that I buy a bag that does not have wheels. (SMH). As a result, I did my homework and read reviews on a variety of bags. This was the first bag I'd seen without the dreaded clear side, and while I'm not sure why anyone would buy a bag for heavy bowling balls with a clear side, I figured it was worth a shot. The bag is roomy enough for all of the accessories a bowler requires (yes, a bowler requires accessories, who knew?) and it easily fits his size 13 shoes on top. It's actually big enough to hold two pairs of shoes (which is a plus because he also carries my size 8 wms). The zippers work well and haven't snagged (yet) like they did on a previous bag. This bag is fantastic and won't let you down.
This HAMMER Deluxe Double Tote goes above and beyond my expectations. In the top storage compartment, there is space for shoes. (It will fit a Mens' size 15 according to the manufacturer. ) I have a size 13 in mine with a little extra room, so I suppose this is true. Hammer- The Hammer on the end of the zipper pulls will also be appreciated by heads. br>br>This bag DOES NOT HAVE WHEELS, and it is quite heavy when fully loaded, but you can carry it using the adjustable shoulder strap, or you can remove it and carry it using the front and back handles. br>br>I think what surprised me the most was the amount of total storage space I have, which includes the shoe compartment. There are three additional storage pouches on the bag, one on the front and one on each side. A microfiber towel or shammy can fit inside the ball compartment, and if you have any other loose accessories, you can probably fit them inside with the balls as well, as long as they don't damage the surface of your ball. br>br>Because I almost always bring four bowling balls to my leagues and tournaments, I bought this bag in addition to the Hammer bag. All of Hammer's bags come with a two-year warranty, and you can get more warranty information from the manufacturer.
This is a fantastic bag. The sides are padded to protect your balls while in transit. There is more than enough room in the shoe compartment for size 11 shoes with plenty of room to spare. All of the cleaners, a towel, a shammy, and gloves fit perfectly in the side pockets. I use one end pocket for my keys, wallet, phone, and whatever else I have in my pockets, and I haven't even started to fill this bag! Carrying the bag is made easier by the shoulder straps' padding. I would suggest it!.
The durability is a major letdown. I haven't come across any high-quality hammer accessories. After only a month of use, the loop for the strap tore. In the bag, the balls move too much.
This is the first bag I've ever bought specifically for bowling equipment. I have to admit, having a bag that can fit two balls, shoes, and whatever else I want to bring is fantastic. I'm glad I went with this particular bag.
It's cool, but it squeaks. With two balls (each weighing 14 pounds), it's lopsided. (It's in my bag. ) Tipping over in the trunk (I have a crossover, and it tipped over on a right turn because the bag isn't balanced). For what it's worth, it's perfectly acceptable. I don't think it's a good idea.
I've been bowling for 30 years and have a lot of bags, so this is my favorite. This bag is well-made, spacious, and simply attractive.
