Questions & Answers

How far apart do the steps have to be? Is it true that my legs are short?

I'd say ten inches.

Is it possible to extend it to 25 feet by adding a piece of ladder?

It's conceivable. You should check with the manufacturer to see if an extension is available.

Is it true that this item includes two safety harnesses as stated?

Yes, my set included two safety harnesses.

With two people, how cozy is it?

I've never had two people in the stand at the same time, and it might be a little tight with all the gear. I go hunting by myself, and I purchased it so that I would have plenty of space.

It's a nice tree stand, but the fact that parts are missing due to poor packaging is a major issue
4/5

Let me start by saying that I adore this tree stand: it's sturdy, well-made, relatively simple to assemble (even if the instructions weren't always as clear as they could be), and it's comfortable. What I despise is how everything is thrown into a big oversized box without even the most basic packaging considerations, allowing items to rub and bang against each other during shipping, chipping paint, scratching components, and tearing holes large enough in the corners of the box for me to stick my hands through. Unsurprisingly, one of the pieces was missing, preventing me from finishing the assembly on time. Someone needs to teach this manufacturer that missing parts on arrival, no matter how good the product is, will ALWAYS disappoint the customer. I own a large tract of land in Maine in the heart of White Tail country, and while I intend to add more stands over time, I'd have to think twice about ordering this model again, which is a real shame.

So far, everything has gone well
5/5

For the most part, the instructions were excellent, and assembly was relatively simple. Mine didn't come with the advertised accessory hooks or cup holders, but the seller quickly rectified the situation, and I'm now very happy. For hanging it on the tree. br>br> Unless special equipment is used, a minimum of three men should be present. We attempted it with two adults and a 12-year-old but were unable to complete the task. It went up well with the help of an ATV winch and a truck. Once the stand is upright, you'll need to reposition it because the bottom of the ladder needs to be moved away from the tree. br>br>The ratchet straps that come with it are extremely basic. After the first season, a perfectionist will want to change them for something better. Although the instructions do not specify the location of the uppermost strap, I was correct in my guess. On the Mfr website, there was a picture of the location. br>br>The shooting rail is adjustable and should be useful; however, do not lift or pull on it as this may cause it to become messed up. Unless you want to sit in the middle, the seats are quite comfortable. Because there are two separate seats, sitting in the middle is not comfortable. br>br>It feels very stable, with a slight amount of movement, but not enough to worry even the most nervous user. br>br>I have yet to hunt from it, but I expect to shoot a lot of deer from it.

Although this is an excellent stand, shipping and packaging may cause issues
5/5

My review basically repeats what almost everyone else has said: This is a fantastic and well-built stand. br>br>My only criticism is the packaging. Because it's so heavy, the packaging needs to be addressed. It's not ideal for shipping and should probably be shipped in two separate boxes, each made of thicker cardboard. Because of its size and weight, the box was severely damaged when I received it. I was concerned that parts were missing because they were protruding from holes in the structure. There was also one item missing (a seat bracket that should have been in the bag or box rather than lying in the box). It's not a big deal because I was able to make another, and I'll contact X-. Attempting to obtain another to replace it later is not a viable option. In terms of design: br>br> This is unrivaled in the industry. This stand is secured with four rachet straps and will not move. This will happen before the tree falls down. br>br>Assembly will take some time; without the fabricated piece, it took me about an hour to put it together by myself. There are a lot of washers and bolts to sort through. The pictures didn't quite match up with all of the bolts, but that was fine. Take your time and lay everything out because some of these pictures are extremely finely detailed. Finally, enlist the assistance of some friends to help you set it up. It was possible for my father and me to complete the task. But only by a hair. According to the instructions, you'll need at least three people, but if you're strong and brave enough, you can do it with just two.

It has a good feel to it and a nice finish
4/5

I'm surprised I didn't have any missing pieces. When it arrived at my door, the box resembled hammered dog doo. It had been saran wrapped at UPS, and it was obvious that the entire box had been dumped out at some point. br>br>The washers are garbage, which is why I gave it four stars. They're too soft, and because they're one-size-fits-all, a 1/4-head bolt pulls right through them before there's even enough tension. br>br>These harnesses are exactly what you would expect from a free harness. They'll suffice for my boys, who will only be hunting with me a few times. Because carabiners aren't included, you'll need one for each harness. br>br>The frame itself appears to be quite good and quiet for the time being. It's quite heavy; I can usually lift a regular two-man ladder up with my wife's assistance, but this one required some mechanical maneuvering to get hung (there was no room to walk it up as the instructions suggested). br>br>There were a lot of scratches from the ups, but nothing was too messed up. Before hanging it, I gave it a rattle can cam job because there were too many red washers and white logos for my taste. There's nothing a smidgeon of drab green can't fix. br>br>Comfortable chair, but pricey.

It appears to be a fantastic stand, as well as the stand itself
4/5

I just finished putting it together, and the only issues I have are with the instructions and the hardware packaging. Before starting, the bolts had to be separated and labeled because they came in a bag. I'm sure it's a cost-cutting measure, but having the hardware packaged and labeled (on a piece of cardboard and wrapped) would have improved customer service. Although the instructions were not as bad as some I've seen, they should be written for someone who has never put together a stand before. After putting the stand together, it appears to be my favorite, but I'll save that assessment until after the hunt.

experience of the user I believe that my overall experience with this would have been improved if the boxes had not been scuffed, broken down, or with parts protruding from all sides
5/5

If I hadn't had to order parts from the list above, my overall experience with receiving this item would have been much better. I bought two of these stands. br>br> Both were in the same condition. The information is accurate, and it is only intended to inform you of what may occur, so place your order ahead of time.
