Questions & Answers

I've never used a tree stand before, but I've heard horror stories about them. I'm 290 pounds, so will that be enough to support me?

Yes, that is correct. I'm afraid of heights, and I'm 360 pounds with a 40-pound backpack in the stand. I've been using it for two seasons and it's been fantastic.

Is there a tether included with it?

Basic tree strap and harness are included in the package.

So I go hunting on public land and cover a lot of ground in hilly terrain. Is this something I'll be able to carry in and out with me? Keep in mind that I am already an adult. ?

I'm a big guy with a big frame. I mostly hunt on public land and hike a mile or more every time. It's almost as if you're not using the stand at all if you pack it correctly. It's only an extra 20 pounds, so it's not a big deal.

The tree stand's Caddy
5/5

Wow. This has made me spoiled. To begin with, it's well-constructed. When I climbed with it and my fall arrestor, I never felt in any danger. I'm not familiar with the foot clamps on the bottom, but they're fantastic. Much better than the old nylon stands from the past. There is a backrest on the seat; that is all that needs to be said. There are armrests. It's a Cadillac, to be sure. When you add in the footrest, you're in for a real treat. My bow has a lot of clearance and maneuverability in terms of functionality. Rifles, I'm sure, will suffice.

Excellent value for money
5/5

Goliath was my prize. This stand is perfect for me because it is both quiet and light. It appears to be well-made and durable. I'm very pleased with the stand. br>br>The stand is simple to assemble. The instructions, on the other hand, are a complete waste of time. Watch the video on YouTube. The bungies on this new style summit are a source of concern for me because they serve as a seat back rest holder to a tree as well as holding your stand together when backpacking it. The bungies appear to be wearing out faster than I had hoped. The "teather" that connects the top and bottom platforms (to prevent you from falling out of the tree) appears to be of poor quality. I'm going to get a better rope to replace it. br>br>In general- It's a fantastic product that I wholeheartedly recommend. Apart from a shoddy teather and possibly shoddy bungies - It's a heavy-duty, quiet machine. br>br>I'm not familiar with the stirrup design and am concerned about the plastic's durability. They make it simple to clone the tree. I despised dealing with the older webbing and getting my stiff boot inside; the stirrup is far more efficient. As stated by another reviewer - The padding no longer wraps all the way around, as it once did. I'll have to go get some foam pipe insulation and tape it on now- to keep my gun safe from harm.

This is an amazing stand! I've never bought or owned a tree stand before
5/5

And, to be honest, I can't see it getting any better than this. It's incredibly simple to assemble, climb, and sit in. br> Right now, I'm about 18 feet up in it, and I couldn't be more secure. With about 20 pounds of gear, I weigh around 240 pounds. In terms of treestands, I imagine that any extra space will not only be difficult to come by, but will also make handling and climbing more difficult; however, I have enough space to stand, sit, and even turn around. That is far more than I could have hoped for. For good reason, the harness has received negative feedback. It's not easy to get used to, but after fiddling with it for about an hour and putting it on before leaving the house, it's not so bad. The stand is perfect as is, but I'm going to add a large carabiner or two to attach my backpack, bow, and coat to if necessary. Ohhh. I also removed the seat's tags. They sound like they're crumbling. This is a stand that I strongly recommend. GET IT!.

For me, it was a $300 blunder
3/5

This was delivered in the same condition as it appeared. It's correct. I hadn't even pressed the "order" button when the driver arrived at my door. br>I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of delivery. Is it the machine? The verdict has not yet been reached. It's a bit of a pain to set up and get up the tree, and you end up scaring away every deer within a 3-mile radius. Tree selection has a low tolerance. 9- only trees A diameter of 12" will suffice, as long as it is straight with no limbs and has a base that is not too large in comparison to the trunk. If that's the case, you'll need to set the base at a 45-degree angle or more to keep it straight once it's up in the tree. It can't be a smooth tree, a shellbark hickory, a sycamore, or any other tree with an unusual bark. To hang your belongings from the tree, you must bring hooks with you and screw them into the tree. You must also hang or drag each item you want to carry on your person or from the stand. I suppose if you go to a hunt camp with 20 buddies, they can hang out and throw stuff up to you once you're up there. I'm not sure if this is the right item for me. When I walk into a room, I don't like to make a lot of noise. This isn't going to be a low-key affair. When you open it up, it clanks and bangs. As you climb with it, it clatters and bangs. It makes a lot of noise the three times you have to go down to re-charge it. You may need to adjust because you misjudged the diameter reduction, dropped something halfway up, or snagged your xbow while pulling it up. Overall, I'd say it's been a lot more of a pain than I expected. I'm going to stick with static stands and blinds (for the $300 I paid for this, I could have bought two). This stand has yielded ZERO deer kills. This season, however, I have four static stands and blinds from my other static stands. For the record, in 5 outings and over 100 hours of seat time, I have yet to SEE a deer from this stand. SAVE YOUR MONEY. It's of good quality, well-made, and sturdy, but it's a waste of money if all the deer have fled by the time you set it up. br>Once you've sweated, grunted, and groaned your way up the tree, it's a comfortable rig.

I'm going to buy one last climber
3/5

I honestly would have given this stand 5 stars if the paint had already been scratched to bare metal when I received it from it rubbing together in the box, I'm guessing during shipping, so the first thing I had to do was cover the bare metal with paint, which was pretty upsetting especially because I was planning on hunting in it the next day, but the stand is really comfortable and well built other than the paint, so it's probably the last summit I'll buy. The shipping was lightning fast, arriving in just two days.

The seat was extremely comfortable, almost to the point of being too comfortable, as I fell asleep
5/5

After a few hunts with it, it has lived up to expectations. I'm a big hunter, 6' 280 pounds, so there's plenty of room in the seat for me. Extremely comfortable seat, almost to the point of being too comfortable, as I fell asleep while sitting for the entire day. (Always wear a safety harness) There is one point of concern: the paint is peeling off. It's also a sound-deadening frame, according to legend. I'm not sure what was done to make the metal quieter, or if aluminum is quieter than steel. It's a dream to pack and unpack. I first noticed the difference when I hiked into the area to go hunting. It's about ten pounds lighter than my previous climbing stand, and it's well worth the money; I wish I'd bought it years ago.

It is acceptable to take a position
3/5

The stand is large, and when you lock them together to transport them into and out of the woods, they make a lot of noise and don't fit together well. It's inconvenient, but climbing is a breeze, and I'm confident in my abilities with this climber.
