Questions & Answers

Is it for one hook or for a set of hooks?

Here are the sets. A strap is available as well

In the case of a "pack of one", how would that differ from a "one size" option?

There is a lot of confusion in this listing, and I also For $22, you could get two hooks and a bungee as part of the "One Size" option. There is no way I know what a "pack of one" is for $45 .

What if I assume the vulcan is a primal one?

Almost all stands with square tubing can be fitted with this. I am not sure if the stand has that style of rail, but it should if it does.

What size will these fit on a XOP ?

After reading the question, which XOP Sit and Stand model did you choose? I looked at a few online. The pictures that I have seen so far seem to confirm this. My guess is that it won't happen. Tubing mounting will be possible if the side tube, not the cable, but tube, is 1" square. In order to make them fit, adjust the sidebars of the stirrup so that your boot fits between the side bar and the stirrup hook. My summit includes them and I am spoiled by that. I am in love with I love that there are no bungees or straps to fiddle with. Thank you. I hope this was helpful.

I like the original/stock set, but this one is good too - Then you'll be more comfortable
3/5

Reviewing this is hard for me, but I am going to do it. There is no question that these are of high quality. There was nothing to complain about new set comes with a lot more functionality than the original set They are not as sturdy as the one that came with the stand (included in the bottom of that stand where your feet go). Therefore I left the original set up on my viper climbing stand first and then added the new ones before removing the old ones. It is better to go back to the original set up. You can control what's happening on the stand by using the stock setup A good rule of thumb is to climb down slowly. In spite of this, these do work, and they are made from good quality materials.

Getting the transaction done was easy
5/5

It's not that complicated. Either you need to have them or you don't. Replacement parts manufactured by the manufacturer. As for thread locks, I would recommend using some sort of locking agent so you dont lose them. Plastic is soft, so I did not want to overtighten the belt on account of them being plastic, but they could be too loose. I wish you all the best with your hunting.

It works just fine
5/5

You may encounter the same problem as me with your bad knees making it hard to keep your feet on the nylon straps. Stirrups like these make the climb easier as they allow the legs to be properly adjusted. My back isn't strong enough to lift the climber's back up to release from the tree when I want to climb back down. I find it difficult to get the proper leverage. Still, I think I made up for the trickier part of climbing down with the ease of securing my feet.

Provides a more enjoyable experience for a budget climber
5/5

After using them with my Summit Viper SD, I bought them as a budget backup climber. Budget and even mid-grade climbers come with weak foot straps that can create a lot of noise while climbing. Put your money into summit stirrups rather than foot straps - you'll maintain better control and won't tire yourself out as quickly.

This is an amazing upgrade! Ameristep Grizzly stands come with strap stirrups
5/5

I do not like them. I also have an American Stand Grizzly stand. A pair of summit stirrups replaced those and made all the It has become one of my favorite stands from a painful, cheap stand that I had. I recently purchased a Treewalker promag xl climber and was thinking about getting another. Since I haven't yet received the stirrups for my treewalker, people say I won't need them. But from my experience with the grizzly, I can't see how anything is going to be easier to climb without the stirrups.

This mod is great
5/5

Ascending and descending is easier with a foot lock as it is light-weight, out of the way, and out of the way when on the stand. With no longer have to bend over to lock my feet in, I can stand up straight.

These stirrups are easy to install on an older Summit stand
5/5

They should make climbing the tree much more efficient by allowing your feet to be quickly positioned for climbing. It's too early to comment on the durability of the stirrups because I have not The plastic ones would make me feel better, but aluminum ones would. As time progresses, we will be able to.

When you have an old stand with a toe strap, it is definitely worth the money
4/5

That seems to be working as intended. I'm afraid I'm going to break one of them when I'm halfway up/down a tree because they're made of plastic. A little too weak of a point where the screw attaches for my taste. Pay attention to how tight you fasten them. Maybe I'm just being cautious, but keep a close eye on how tight they are. There seems to be a high probability that they will break easily. As a result, I used the pens about 10 times now, without any problems. For the price, I'd buy them again if they broke. Having to deal with the toe strap each time is so much easier!.
