Pulling with it will be more difficult than pulling on my own. 2 of us put on the harness in Colorado and pulled a cow elk of approximately 3 years old, nearly a mile away. In a month, two of us in Montana drug out two more elk with no sign of wear or tear on the harness. It is my hope that this has helped you
The height can be adjusted, yes
As if it were a backpack, strap it on. Attach a rope to the deer's back ring then to the rope connecting the two. A foot or antler are significantly more difficult to pull than a foot!

During his hunting trips, my brother said these things have saved him so much trouble. The customer told me to give it a five-star rating and to recommend it, so I am doing it. Also, he said people would save themselves a lot of time, money, and headache the second time around if they took a sharpie and properly labeled the right shoulder front and left shoulder front immediately after opening them.
Until I had the chance to test the product, I wanted to wait to post a review. In the course of my testing, I managed to dredge a 200+ lb deer up a ravine and about 400 yards using my long stick. This is that far and away the best long stick I've had. I have owned other pants without the waist and chest straps, and this is by far the best. A deer cannot be dragged with this rope because it is very short and does not cover enough length to drag one. The provided rope was too short for me to use as I had to squat on my knees. After a quick switch, I got to work quickly and effortlessly dragged my deer. Thanks to a few carabiners and an extra rope I had in my pack I was able to drag the deer with ease. Though I cannot criticize the manufacturer or seller for the rope length, I should say I cannot blame them for the rope length. It was my intention to use it for the harness, but the quality was much better than I had expected and it has worked better than any of my other harnesses. After two days of full use I have nothing but great things to say about this product. I've used it to drag one additional deer the following day with my longer rope modification. As an added bonus, I purchased two padded straps normally used for seat belt padding and comfort from a local auto parts store and added them to the chest portion of the As for the harness itself, I am excited for the next use with that add-on but again, a huge thumbs up and high praise for it. It was far and away the best I had ever Don't let yourself be on the fence! Buy one now!.
hard to find out what straps go where at first, especially if you've just killed a deer in the woods after sunset and now have to put it on in the pitch black, the harness is still well worth the price. If you have back issues, joint or arm pain, a harness is an excellent choice for dragging deer, but I recommend it even more. This device allows you to drag your deer with all of your upper body, as well as leave your hands free, so you can still carry your other gear as well. It is easy to wear a pack overtop of this harness. Before you go out to play, I highly recommend you practice putting it on, and once you've managed that, use a permanent marker to label the left shoulder, the right shoulder, and the waist strap once you've gotten it right. The second time around you will have an easier time putting it on. For the price, this is a great deal. In the woods, I had no problems dragging the deer on this material. It isn't incredibly heavy, but should be able to handle dragging deer fine.
In the winter, I bought this harness in order to haul game meat from the field to my jet sled. Because I am an Osteoarthritis sufferer and now 65 years old, backpacking a quartered elk out of the field isn't an option for me. There is only one connection point at the rear of this harness. The size of my body is XXXL. For me, there are plenty of adjustments on the harness. The straps are thick and strong, and the harness is well made, despite this not being the most thrilling option. My coat will be padding enough in cold weather, so I was not concerned with padding. There is a buckle that is made of plastic, but it is The metal rings were not present in the original, so I had to The only thing I would do if I were to use this harness in warmer weather is to add some shoulder and hip padding (slip-on seat belt padding is an option). I would spend the extra money and purchase a drag harness that already has padding installed if I ever had the money to hunt big game more than once or twice a year.
The purchase was a good one for its price. There is no pinching on the nylon webbing, and it can be easily twisted and folded. This means that Straps cut in with a vengeance under load because there is no padding (this is disclosed) and there is no padding. There is a generous amount of adjustment in the waist size, as others have noted. However, the chest strap is very short. I ended up fabricating an extension to make it longer. My height is 6'1", my weight is 240#, my waist is 42" and my chest is 47". My rating would have been four stars if the chest strap had been 6 inches longer. Given the next step up in cost is more than twice the price and I am only planning on using it occasionally, I don't regret my choice. Ah, I see. A dead deer is not pulled by a sled, but instead for pulling a sled.
A solo hunters pack should include this for the money it costs. Despite paying less than I wanted, I was surprised at the thickness of the straps and the overall quality. Just the other day, I used it to drag an old doe out of a cornfield slick with mud. I used the supplied rope, which was too short at first, and I made a constricting loop for it, and slipped the deer's head and legs In the end, it was just the right length to pick up the deer in a bit and to aid with I felt like there was a lot more power to drag and pull, compared to just pulling with my arms out behind me. Overall, I found it very effective at dispersing the load and distributing the weight across both shoulders and my waist. Aside from being compact, it is also easy to carry. It was too big around the waist, so I cut it down for my convenience, but it is nice that the size is wide enough to fit anyone.
What I mean is. You can see how thin it is! It's still true. To keep in my hunting bag, I wanted something that was lightweight and could do the job. This is the first deer of the year. I was right there with my uncle. It should be field dressed before and after. My friend told me I had to drag the car back on my own because he wasn't helping me. This is me. I have no issue with that! It did not strain my back in the least! You will have to walk about 1/4 mile to reach.
I found it to be a great tool. With it I could drag a deer for almost a mile with almost no issues, but the big buckle came off on me a couple of times and I had to rely on the strap opener as much as it could do and it was still tight.
