Bottom line, the belt appears to be adequate for the price; the nylon webbing used in its construction is thinner than expected, but this provides flexibility. The buckle appears to work and is strong enough, but there is no discernible click to indicate that it is locked or latched together. The color is beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't read the description carefully before purchasing this item, and while it may accurately describe the item, I was expecting a more rugged and thicker belt; this belt is thin enough to be a plain belt, but the buckle is far too large to fit through belt loops. As a stand-alone pistol belt, I believe it is far too thin, and the buckle prevents it from being worn as a standard belt; however, I purchased this belt to go inside my padded belt cover, so it should work fine; I'll just have to put it on and see. So far, I've been looking for something inexpensive that would work for a short period of time and that I could obtain quickly. It accomplished all of these goals, but it fell short of exceeding them.
This is the belt I'm wearing with my uniform. I'm a 32-inch waste, and the medium size provided plenty of length (I cut about 4 inches off). I put the buckle through a few "stress tests" because I didn't want it to break on its own. The webbing feels a little more durable than military belts; I applied 150 pounds of force to the buckle, but it did not give, wiggle, or allow the belt to slide to relieve stress. I think I've found my new army belt; I got one for my wife and may get another in a different color for civilian wear (I still like my leather "ratchet belt," though it's not as strong as these).
So, I like the belt, and it appears to be well-made, but the buckle won't fit through any of my pants, so I have to remove it whenever I change my pants. It's extremely inconvenient. When switching from jeans to slacks, remove the buckle first, then put the belt on the pants, and then re-buckle.
br>I've owned a lot of belts over the years, but this one has something special about it that I can't put my finger on! br>It's simple to adjust on yourself, and it opens up quickly! br>It appears to be well-made and of high quality! Let's see how long it lasts, because all of my previous belts didn't!.
If you're only going to use it as a holster/pistol mag/1-round magazine, this is a good option. You should be fine with two ar mags and an ifak.
I also have a low-grade metal allergy, but this buckle system does not cause me any skin irritation. It's ideal for both concealed and open carry.
What drew me in was the simple snap closure. I bought a similar belt before, but I didn't like how you had to adjust the loop feed every time you changed pants. This snap is PERFECT for pulling, adjusting, and locking down! So simple and quick! I liked it so much that I purchased the black version as well. WHAT A STEAL OF A OPPORTUNITY! AWESOME BELT WITH A FREE POUCH AND A SNAPLINK!.
If I ever needed it, I would buy it again. I would strongly suggest it.
