Questions & Answers
I work in law enforcement and carry these on a daily basis, so they are genuine.
It is conditional on the facts of the situation. I was able to fit them into a Safariland basketweave case, but pulling them out when needed was extremely difficult. I returned to the ASP situation.

These are the most comfortable cuffs I've ever worn. I had previously used a variety of other brands, including Smith (which was usually provided by my agency). When I was working in Intake, a road Deputy brought in an inmate who was wearing these. I saw these cuffs while unhooking him and knew I needed a pair. br>I work in a detention center, where I cuff detainees several times throughout the night. It's a lot easier with these. It's fantastic that there are keyholes on both sides. Then there's the fact that releasing double-lock requires only one turn of the key in one direction. Cuffs that are locked. I also appreciate being able to loosen the cuffs and then double-lock them without having to remove the key. There are more locking positions on these, as well. This bracelet is suitable for both large and small wrists. br>br>These are incredibly durable and far superior to anything else I've tried. br>Please keep in mind that these might not fit in your standard cuff case. They're a little larger than the competition.
These cuffs are so awesome! Initially, I purchased the S on a budget. W M- 100s, which are adequate for the job but, in comparison to ASPs, are as close to garbage as you can get while still working. My partner wears Peerless cuffs, which, when compared to my S, are significantly more expensive. The Peerless, on the other hand, were more solid, smooth, and superior in every way. The letter S stands for Ws have a cheap feel to them, which is why they are half the price of these. But when I received these ASPs, even he had to admit they were superior to his Peerless cuffs. These babies are from the twenty-first century, whereas other models are from the twentieth. I like how they fit larger wrists, which is important in Texas because we have a lot of guys and gals with big ol' gorilla wrists who regular cuffs are starting to turn their fingers blue. However, you will need to purchase a new case; this is just a heads-up, and they aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. I also like the case, which I purchased separately, because it allows me to switch between my duty belt and the molle loops on my tactical vest. Until they come up with something better, I'll be an ASP man until the end of time!.
Very dependable.
This is fantastic. The hinge moves smoothly and easily, allowing for a quick secure on the wrists with no resistance from the hinge. With these, you can legitimately "slap the cuffs on" like on TV without injuring someone's wrists. br>br>Both sides have easy access to the double lock and keyhole. The chain provides enough range of motion to prevent actual complaints (though you'll never get rid of the "These are too tight" nonsense even if you've double-checked the fit). br>br>I wear these almost every day and get fewer complaints about them than I do about some of my other cuffs. Yes, they're pricier, but what other piece of gear do you use more frequently than your handcuffs?.
I've had S for quite some time now. I've worn W, Peerless, American, and most recently Galls' store brand cuffs, but these ASP Ultras are the smoothest I've ever worn. There's no need to "load" them; they can be used with the tiniest amount of pressure on the subject's wrist; there's no need to worry about which side has the keyhole; there's one on each side; and it's about time someone designed a set that releases the double lock and bow at the same time. Any of these reasons would have prompted me to purchase these cuffs. When you put them all together, you have a fantastic set of cuffs. I would have been hesitant to buy something made of plastic twenty years ago, but with today's materials, I am confident in using them. ASP, you did an excellent job.
THE VERY BEST CUFFS! These cuffs are fantastic! They're extremely light, but that doesn't mean they're not durable. These are extremely durable. The double locking feature (unlike other cuff brands) is simple to use, and the key holes on both sides are fantastic. This is a product that I would recommend to anyone. Citizens and officers of the law They are more expensive than other cuff brands but this is due to the fact that they are 100% better than all other cuff brands. They're also incredibly comfortable to wear. You will not be disappointed if you purchase a pair now.
These are extremely well constructed. I'm in law enforcement and use these on the job, and they've been great so far; they're the smoothest handcuffs I've ever used!.
Because I thought I'd be fine with a new basic cuff holder and then discovered it doesn't fit. I know they're both expensive, but if you cry once, you cry twice, so I'm going to order that asp cuffs holder right now.
