Although the spray is effective, the design wears off instead of staying put for long periods. It basically looks like a sticker that starts to peel.
Thanks be to the lord I haven't needed it since then. I bought two of them, one for my mother and one for myself. It provides me a sense of security in case another incident such as the one I had a few weeks ago happens again. When I am walking in the dark, I also carry it with me. While I know my community well, times change and one never knows what's going to happen. So far, I am very happy with the purchase. As well, I took another reviewer's advice and added a clear packing tape over the design (for both the canisters I purchased) to preserve the design since the reason I bought this was to make it look pretty and prevent accidental discharge.
My asthma had taken over my breathing for days once I tried spraying this product in my sink. When I got it, I tried it out, I sprayed it in my sink, and WOW, it left me breathless for days. There's no reason why I should feel bad about whoever I'm going to lash out at.
I can easily push it into or take it out of my pocket while walking at night as the size is just right. My college campus is much safer with it at night. Be knowledgeable of your area and be aware of whether or not there are cameras there just in case you need to escape We all use ear phones on our walks, but you need to be aware of where you are and what is around you.
