But it won't stop the pellets
3/5

A Covid-based solution is available After being ordered to stay at home for 19 days, I have revived the practice of shooting pellet guns while the ranges are closed. A 20+ year old pellet trap was set up in the house, but I quickly needed longer ranges and purchased this trap so I could establish a 10 meter and 50 foot range in In addition to not being damaged upon delivery, the trap was easy to assemble, and everything fit together smoothly. There is more than enough thickness in the backstop. A few very small gaps exist between the plates, but it should not affect how it works. The thing has a problem, the pellets will come out of the front unless you block the opening with cardboard or something else (it ships with a cardboard box attached to it. A cardboard piece cut to fit. )

I have included some pictures with this and well as the trap I currently have, which I assume is the same as the current one. It is easy to see the changes that are causing this problem in the assembled version. As you can see, opposite sides of the slanted stopping surface on the new one are 90 degrees from each other, compared to the 135 degree angle on the old one. It is also important to note that the shelf inside the piece is now lower and the height of the wall where these two pieces meet is higher. These changes will make it more likely pellets will come out from the front of the device instead of staying stuck inside. now before people start condemning the device for being dangerous and should be banned from existence, I doubt pellets will be able to penetrate cardboard or thick I found that when there is no cardboard in front, I was able to fire The key is 9gr. From 25 feet of air, I fired 177 cal pellets at 420 fps, and the furthest anything flew back was 2 yards This area is 3 feet tall. This resembles what they were attempting to copy so it does what it should, but they should have taken a closer look at what they got from what they were attempting to copy to understand why it was put together the way that These days, I think they ship it with a piece of cardboard instead of fixing the actual issue after getting complaints about lead coming out of it. At least since the middle of the twentieth century, pellet traps have been around an acceptable form of targeting, so I shall keep it and use [Update 6/17/2020]
After using this in the garage for a while I found that even with cardboard inserted I still had to use tape on the top, bottom, and sides to seal them. After searching for a better solution, I designed 3d printed pieces that hold the cardboard and act as blocks for its top and side. Below is the final solution as well as a picture of what would have escaped There are 177Cals. A 56-gram bar. FPS of 650.

The construction is heavy and of high quality
5/5

I got what I expected at a great price. In my backyard, I shoot a Hatsan Hercules Bully, airgun with a PCP power source from a distance of The pellets from my airgun shoot at 1150 fps at 21 grains, 22 caliber (seriously, it's a monster). Originally, I made a backstop out of 16 gauge steel, but when I tested it, it tore up and, it couldn't handle a 22 A new piece of steel might cost as much as $30, and I wouldn't mind changing it. As well, I had a lot of pellet debris all over the place. Despite the pellets, this trap stops them dead without even a little dent in the backstop, and it catches most of the debris within it as well. I save money by not having to replace my homemade back stop constantly, and I anticipate this lasting A big plus is the simplicity with which targets can be clipped up. This tablet is also light and small enough to be easily carried around. It is a great bullet trap and should last for a very It's easy to assemble out of the box, being about 10" h by 11" w and having a shootable area of about 10" h x 11" w.

The assembly of 177 lead pellets had a few issues
3/5

I like the fact that it is very detailed, heavy steel, and as solid as any other 22 trap I have The target is It is easy to transport with the clip rod. Two items to take into consideration concern the base or stand that will need to be attached to the floor, namely It's not flat on any surface, so if you mount it on top of a surface that extends about an eighth below the floor, the floor won't lie flat on top of that surface. The gap is 1/8 of an inch. In addition, they provide holes that are already threaded, which is great as long as you are using the proper In normal holes, thieves would have been able to get through Bolting with hardware already on hand is always possible, and you don't have to drill your own holes. The assembly is very simple - just screw the parts together and you're done Make sure the screws are driven in straight and line up with the holes It's not too difficult, but not too easy either. As long as everyone is in, keep all the screws loose. In order to align all of the panels, I had to twist and turn among them. The assembly turns out to be as solid as a safe once everything is tightened. Also, one of the panels had a bent corner that needed to be straightened before it could be assembled. One or two pieces of wood and a big piece of cement In that case, the clamp came in handy. As far as its performance is concerned, I can only comment on its one first session so far. There were about 175 rounds of 177 lead pellets at 25 feet, a Crosman T-2, and 177 shells at 25 feet This is a threat at more than 400 frames per second. Quite a lot of debris was shattered or broken within just a few feet of the trap, and all of the fragments were scattered and smashed. The photograph may have been too close for a 100% capture at 25 feet, but that was a little disappointing. However, there was not a single sign that a pellet was deflected back at us at all. As far as feeling at ease was concerned, the whole time we were there. And that's what a trap should do. If you wear glasses anyway, wear safety glasses.
Only a short while from now I'll be using it at 45 feet under the same conditions. The results will remain the same if I do not return. The foam may be used to stuff the pouch. The situation may improve or it may worsen I will return. I hope you have a wonderful shooting experience!.

The construction of this unit is extremely sturdy
5/5

The construction is very sturdy! As I shoot a Gamo Swarm Whisper at close range, I am firing my 22 cal Gamo Swarm. It's just a few chips of interior paint, not a dent. When you have fully assembled the hut, do not tighten the screws.

Solid pellet trap that is good value for the money
4/5

The bullet/pellet trap is a solid one overall. As for the back plate, it My use of this paper is sufficient since it is two inches thick. As a test, I fired. A quantity of 25 PCP LEAD pellets was fired at a rate of about 26 fpe without incident. No dent, not even a tiny scratch. It would probably not be a problem to use the back plate with the side plate, there are two very small gaps between them. A gap will still appear unless the joints are welded together. There is no doubt about it, it's loud as hell. We can expect it.
