If you're going to hang the shirt and tuck the top in, it really depends when you're going to do it You can hang it on two chains or post it. Unless you are hung from chains, the bullets will hit you directly in the back. Ten yards is the maximum distance between you and the other person. A top view of this would look great if hung on a wall As the spent bullets are slanted downward and canted, they will land in the front of the target within 2 to 4 feet. You should stand at least 5 feet away from the bird. Based on an approximate 9mm bullet fired from directly in front of the target, these figures are given. Richochet is more likely to occur with shells that travel faster. It takes approximately the same distance for a shot fired from one side to ricochet to the opposite side. If you are firing at a steel target, wear the appropriate eyewear.
There is a gong in the room. A model I bought was 8 inches, so I shot this. The number 308 is displayed I bought a second one for another yardage, and it worked perfectly.

AR500 IS NOT the same as At least that's the impression I get. We fired this target with 9mm and 22lr the first time I took it out. We had a lot of fun. The event was a blast. It was only because I wanted to shoot at it with AR500 that I bought it. The . You can see that I ripped this thing apart with 556. A large number of pockmarks are left behind. The attached pictures can be seen here. I don't think all the points from made it through to the end. The 55 grain FMJ weighs 556 grains. The core is lead. The rest of the ar 500 targets have worked for me without any issues. There are holes in the whole way through that were made by It is estimated that 270 hunting rounds have been fired. It is a soft lead (soft). Refund request is on its way. I will leave this review at 1 star if I do not receive it.
It is true that we chipped away some of the edge with the high power rifle, but it had little effect on us. There must have been a mistake with the steel in the other post of holes through the metal. 18th June 2020. This appears to be a piece of steel that has been very well made. The purpose of this purchase was to be used in High Wind areas Having a post hanger that works perfectly is a good idea, if it is the AR500 steal, it is designed to stop a car. Two hundred and thirty two and two It worked perfectly, as you can see. A few hundred rounds later, I took the photo you see here.
This item is described in the description as having been cut from AR 500, made in the USA. After receiving the package, I noticed that it had been marked making in China, so I called BS right away! There wasn't a steel plant in the US that made the steel, exported it to China for cutting, and imported it again. I think it would be outrageously expensive. It's Chinese steel and it's made in China. Whatever you decide about buying American or not, please do not claim that things are made in America If you are gunning high caliber guns, you should look elsewhere. This target is perfect for medium caliber pistols, but if you are shooting high cal guns, you should A brief update As a result, I set this up at a range today and shot with a There is 380 ACP in this round and 9MM in this round. As far as paint coming off when you shoot it, they use a glossy paint that literally comes off in big chunks when you hit it. This is similar to how paint blisters off a car that's been hit, where it breaks off large chunks. I am so curious, why not just put a cheap spray there? My issue is, it leaves a freaking mess of neon paint chips everywhere. I use it on my four other metal targets and it works fine there as well. If I buy another, I will use my old target brand rather than go back to my old steel. It is fine for shooting medium velocity bullets, just like any other 3/8" steel.
They were individually boxed tight I really liked the black paint finish on these and they were as just as good as they looked in the picture. As far as I know, everything is going well. It was very stable, which was crucial considering it had a 5' crossbar, and no sagging of the legs or crossbar was observed. Despite testing with 9mm (115 gr) and 22LR ammunition at approximately 15 yards, these gongs and hooks did not break. With the 22LR, the 4" gong would be moved, but the 6" gong could barely be moved. There were numerous times when the 9mm would fall off the hooks when it spun the 4" gong. It would be better if chains and bolts were used. While this is not something I would consider a negative, it was a good experience to learn what sizes work best from such a We will continue using the 6" gong for next time, not hooks, in order to achieve the best results with the 9mm. The edges of the items were intact after many hits, and there was no pitting or chipping. Due to the heat, it was initially believed that the edges would show more wear and tear An area that is affected by laser cutting (HAZ). In our case, it was not the case at all. As each point of impact was made, the black paint would be stripped from the metal underneath revealing the gray metal. Luckily we'll have a can of spray paint next time so the targets can be refreshed and/or we can coat them at the end of the day to protect them while storing. Compared to paper targets, paper targets are more rewarding to shoot from due to the combination of visible movement, paint removal, and audible ping. Compared to paper and clay targets, the targets are also more durable, which results in less resetting required. This is a great set of gongs to recommend. Expansion is already on the agenda for next month's excursion. It is important to keep in mind that with larger calibers, your mileage may vary.
It takes good shots from various angles. There are only a couple of minor chips in the metal of this 556 FMJ. Despite its 9mm bullets, it barely chips the paint, and it's really Target shooting is made so much more enjoyable when you can hear the *ding* when shot lands, and it makes shooting so much more rewarding. I have shot it a couple times at the range and this thing seems to last a long time! There is nothing like hitting something a couple of times in a row. As far as I am concerned, it is a great product. Please note this tip as well If you use zip ties or rope to support the plate, they snap off when hit with the plate. Install steel wire to hold it up instead zip ties and rope break easily. When you shoot a bullet through the hole, the rope will hold, but as soon as it hits the knot, you have to replace it. It's a little harder to hit and break wire, so it might be a more practical.
As I read about others saying these plates are rubbish or junk, I became concerned. On the other hand, as a piece of fun, I mounted a plate to a 2x4 with a bolt that has a spring between the plate and the 2x4 (if I am making The spring acts as a bit of a shock system when fired at 40 yards with Sierra Match grade 168grain BTHP rounds, but it wasn't close to punching a whole in the I will be purchasing more of these!.
However, the powder coat just comes off when the gong is hit after the orange looks good. There was no additional charge, so you did not lose your rights. I just wanted to let you know that powder coating can be removed very easily. Also, the picture clearly shows that the gong hole is square, which could be acceptable if you intend to bolt it down and use it as a gong. It would be more efficient to chain them up. They do fit in the hole between the rod and the post, but they won't hang on the pole once they are in place, so I bought the hang n hook system. They are drilled so that it will work. My boy can hang them up and take them down himself. It is the drilling that is a whole other story, AR500 is a very special stuff, none of my drill bits worked. The 1/2 " carbide mason bit I used was fine for drilling four holes, but I destroyed the bit in the process. As for now, all is good for me. I may purchase others but I'll make sure to purchase a gong with the round hole, NOT the square hole, because the square hole is too Thank you for the great time OH and my boy was shooting 22LR at about 25 yards worked great. I couldn't resist and I shot at them myself with my Glock 23. There are no dents on this 40 caliber ding ding ding ding.
