WE ARE STRONG, BUT DO HAVE MAJOR BACKGROUNDS. To begin, let me give you a list of the pros and cons. CONS The screw heads are supposed to rust a little, so over painting them (they are expected to rust a little) and thick paint on the inside is not necessary. There was no way to fit 2 by 4s into any part at all, so they had to be planed or sanded into shape. A bolt holds the legs in place, but it is not necessary. This is not a good piece It is overly complicated at the top to mount the top assembly. The shooting plate stays attached unless you undo the bolt, making disassembly difficult. I think for most people, if they intend to set the target up once and leave it there, they are good to go. You certainly have the option of having enough storage space, in that case. One of the biggest drawbacks is that regular 2 by 4s don't fit without modification! While I do not think that bolts to hold the legs are necessary, the quick disconnect that only requires an allen key to remove the main piece of 2 by 4 is an impressive feature. I would return it, but a bullet hit it on top. There is no AR 500 in this product so it can't withstand 9 mm being fired at it. In order for this product to work, it would have to have a center hole, so that the plate will protect the center hole of the target.
clamps themselves are great, but the bolts that come with them are not that great. Neither the bolt nor the nut will thread together, and they are just stripping off one another. It is not a big deal but now I have to go to the hardware store to buy the matching bolts and nuts. An item does not get bought so you will have to go fix it before using.

In place of an Allen head, I would prefer that the spacer nut come with a butterfly screw. There is an Allen key included in the pack which could be lost at the range, during assembly and disassembly, or during shipment. I give this product a 4 out of 5. I give it five stars out of five. It works in a flash. The target mount I chose for mine is a Birchwood & Casey. Tips for writers You can loosen up the gong brackets after fitting them to it. You will then need to secure the brackets to the main mount bolt with springs. Once that's snug enough to move a little, tighten it a bit more.
