How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Steel Made in the USA All Dragon Brand shooting targets are made of high quality and durable AR500 steel, which is made right here in the United States. Using our metal targets for shooting high caliber ammo can be flipped from side to side for protection against premature pitting. When used and cared for properly,
You can minimize glare with AR500 targets coated with non-reflective matte white paint for maximum visibility and to provide maximum visibility at a distance. The original paint on each Dragon gong target can also be easily repainted after it's been chipped.
Featuring Mitsubishi CNC laser cutters for maximum accuracy, these laser cut metal targets are your go-to targets for shooting on the range. In order to maintain the strength of our steel range targets, we use a laser cut because the heat from other types of cutters (such as plasma) causes them to deteriorate
When our ar500 steel targets are hit, they naturally make a loud 'dinging' sound, so the shooter can know while practicing that they are on target. This eliminates the need to walk downrange to check for strikes, so more rounds can be fired at one time.
Target shooting protocols and guidelines should strictly be adhered to during all stages of the process. You will never want to go back to paper once you switch to steel! What's so great about shooting a target when you can kill a dragon?

Questions & Answers

The gongs that I purchased were not painted. I will explain! ?

If it comes powder coated white, with a Dragon Targets sticker on the middle if you'd like to put one on, that wouldn't be strange. They powder coat it white so that you can use white spray paint to cover up bullet holes after each round.

It's 100 yards I'm trying to sight in a 450 Bushmaster. Can this stand up to the test of time?

It is also possible to order 06s, 300winmags, 7mm Remmags, etc. The gun I use is a 30-yard with a 150-yard range So far, there are no pits in 06 and no signs of rusting. A 223/5 score. A score of 56 is good at 150 as well.

I would like to know what size of target you would recommend. How does it work with a 45 muzzle loading flint lock and a 80 grain charge?

My smoke pole no longer works, but I still have steel targets 10" and 12" in diameter, which would work with black powder as well. Neither one has caused any problems for us with some hot loads.

Can you tell me what the weight is of the "A" 12" by 1/2"?

4 to 6 at the very least The weight is 5 pounds.

Maybe you could use it as a paper weight when you're not using it for targeting? This target was delivered to me exactly one year ago on August 18 2020, and I have already shot it twice now
3/5

A 5 has been used to shoot it. There are 56 and 6 in each. The creedmore house at 200 and Creedmore We are about 300 yards from the restaurant. In my most recent range trip (the second one) both bolt tabs broke off, and there are also some pretty significant dings along the edge where the bolts appeared to have chipped off. While I do not know whether I got a bad target or even if they all are the same, I would not recommend buying these unless you absolutely need them for 1 day. It doesn't speak well for them that I had to make 2 trips because even if it was just a bad plate, it didn't say much for their business.

It's worth it, so don't hesitate
5/5

Dragon Targets are my first experience with this software. This is a durable and heavy-duty product. I was hitting it with 5 at the time. A 56mm is about 50 yards away, and a 9mm is about 10 yards away Approximately 15 yards. I was impressed with how well the gong held up. Specifically, I was searching for 1/2-inch thick targets, and Dragon Targets provided both what I wanted and quality to top it all I like the fact that it has three holes for mounting. I recommend this to anyone looking for a target that will last a long time.

A good job is done by it
5/5

My shots at this target to date have been taken at an average distance of 85 yards with the following ammunition Tikka T-300 WSM (Tikka T-300 3) 8 mm Turkish Mauser , 7. The following example contains 280 REM (Ruger M-Scale) *30x30 (Marlin 366) *223 (Ruger Mini-722) With hot ammo, only minor pitting occurs up to 14)
45 ACP
9MM

Even with very hot ammo. A satisfying "ping" noise is heard by even those wearing ear protectors when the target is hit. Interesting enough, the deepest deformation occurs with loads of hunting ammunition in the 300 WSM and 280 REM, and not surplus FMJ ammunition from the military. My 375 Ruger will be fired at it next week. Based on the performance so far, I am going to shoot it again. With the 375, I hope I don't damage it. It may not be cheap, but given the fact that it will last my lifetime, it will be worth the cost. Negatively, I believe the paint is a complete joke, and adds no value to the house. At the moment, I am aiming at bare metal. In addition to a black magic marker, I use a red pen to write down.

The AR500 plates are a durable, quality product at a great value
5/5

Steel is the kind of material that I shoot a lot of when I'm For my magnum revolvers in 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum, 454 Casull, 460 Magnum, and 500 Magnum, this plate is designated. I've been shooting steel since 2011, which means that I've been shooting for nine years. The shooting club I belong to and my backyard range are both my own.

Steel is my preferred target. I mount my targets via the center hole, which is the most secure and stable hole for mounting As I mentioned above, I don't typically use the side ears because they add a lot of instability and sway. The targets angled downward also make me feel more safe because shrapnel hits the ground rather than me, rather than being directed upward. I do not shoot guns shorter than 50 yards at our club. For handgun targets, we have 25 yard minimums, but I never shoot large caliber magnums under 50 yards. The case is durable and can take a beating by a 4x caliber and larger magnum round. normally alternate the sides of the plates to increase durability over time.

The price is reasonable, and there are different sizes to accommodate my shooting needs. The way it is for me definitely works. This is a highly recommended book.

It is a 458 SOCOM unit
5/5

It was shot with a 458 SOCOM 325gr FTX at 1600 FPS using a 458 SOCOM solid case. My view was restricted to 25 yards only, because the steel was able to manage it. In a 20 foot radius, it did not leave a trace. I took a lot of abuse from it!.

I'm not kidding, for the price it can't be beat
5/5

Taking the target at all is tough due to its thickness, size, and price. Using my AR 15 300 aac pistol, I shoot at the target at 25 yards, and I shoot the rifle at about 30 When my red dot scopes are zeroed in, I never miss a shot. My custom-built target stand is perfectly angled. I never have to worry about ricochets returning to me after the bullets hit the target. After the bullets hit the target, the bullets go almost straight to the ground after hitting the target. This is an awesome game that I am sure you will love. A heavy-duty vehicle is on sale at their store You might consider buying a heavy duty chain kit that includes all the necessary hardware to hang this target.

There are some thin tabs on mine, but maybe that's just me
4/5

this plate deserves a 4 star rating right now instead of a 5, is because I have not yet used it. My expectation is that this plate will hold up fairly well against all the different calibers I have. However, I am a little concerned about the ears/tabs. I think there is not enough steel there to hold the bolts in the event a round hits one of them. The ears and tabs on my other plates are actually MUCH thicker. This is why I am interested in how that sort of Except for that, the steel feels very good to touch, and I expect this plate to hold up well, sing loudly, and last for a long time. However, those thin tabs are a real pain!.

The target is nice
5/5

This unit is solid and was able to absorb 458 SOCOM at 50 yards without suffering any damage.
