Donning and doffing is difficult due to the tight wrist opening. That might not be a big deal if you KNOW you'll be wearing them for hours, but I need to be able to put them on and take them off on a regular basis. I was going to try leaving the velcro strap loose enough to just slip these on and off, but the leather is so tight that even that won't work. (However, they are perfectly sized for the palm and fingers. ) )br>br>The leather isn't lined, so it feels rough and cheap in my hands. You probably won't want to wear these for long periods of time. br>br>However, the leather feels sturdy. I don't expect these to wear out at the fingertips like so many of my other goatskin gloves have. Because the fingertips are so thick, I can't use them to manipulate a touchscreen device, for example. This is inconvenient for me because I require the ability to manipulate fine-precision items on a daily basis. It's reassuring to know, at the very least, that they didn't skimp on toughness.
I'm a machine mechanic, and I've looked everywhere for a pair of gloves that are both durable and tactile. I used these gloves for everything from wrenching to grinding and welding to terminating wires, and they performed admirably. I've bought almost every other Hatch glove style, and they're all of the same high quality. I'll only buy this brand of glove from now on, and the reactor is a fantastic heavy-duty glove with plenty of protection and a great feel.
The stitching and the material are both satisfactory. The size (m) is slightly smaller than anticipated.
I bought two left hand gloves for my son, who works on a Navy carrier. It was a letdown.
One glove was bigger than the other, and the fingers were ridiculously long; it was the worst pair of gloves I'd ever owned.
It will take some time to break in the leather because it is extremely hard. The quality, on the other hand, is excellent.
The design is fantastic. Any rappel is a challenge for him. Simply put, it wasn't built for speed.
It was a perfect fit, and the gloves were very nice.
