Any size will do as long as it has a "siphon" or "riser" tube that draws liquid CO2 from the bottle's bottom. It's best to plan on using about 25 oz of co2 by the time the 20oz bottle has chilled. The size of the big bottle you buy or rent is determined by the number of refills you want for your 20oz bottle before returning it to be filled. It's as simple as converting the lbs of CO2 in the big bottle to oz and dividing by 25 to do the math. This will determine how many refills you will get from your large bottle. Please let me know if you require a more detailed example and I will send you a sample calculation.
The fill station's threads are for paintball, yes. Purchase a couple of paintball tanks or an adapter from a place like CO2 Doctor as a solution. If you're using sodastream, make sure the tanks don't have a flat pin sticking up and instead have a regular pin. To fill the tank, make sure it has been chilled in the freezer.
One of the valves has a small hole in it.

CO2 has a concentration of about 22 parts per million. Here in SW Michigan, 00 gets you a 20-gallon tank, so carbonation is very affordable. Soda Stream is selling their 14th generation replacement. For $14, you can get a 5-ounce carbonator bottle. 00, or approximately one dollar per ounce of CO2. I can refill my tanks for approximately 6 months with a tank. CO2 costs 8 cents per ounce. Always have CO2 on hand for a long period of time, avoiding trips to the store for more carbonated water or bottles to return. For the two of us, 320 ounces should last a long time.
Is it possible to get replacement parts from you? I got this over the summer and used it twice, but when I went to fill some tanks, the pin valve adaptor wouldn't screw down to open the tank. As if the threading had been stripped, the pressure instantly pops it back up. It won't screw down and stay down, no matter how tight I tighten it. If the adaptor part cannot be replaced, I would like a refund.
When using a soda/siphon tube tank, pre-chill the tanks. For the soda stream, I used a 20 pound co2 siphon tube bottle and paintball bottles. Hint. Instead of venting gas as shown in the video, place the empty bottles in the freezer to prechill. Every time, a perfect 20 oz fill is achieved. The yield of a large tank decreases as the tank size increases. After the initial purchase, you can exchange your tanks for a general air for only $20.
It accomplishes what it sets out to do. You'll need either an inverting tank rack (which is dangerous) or a tank with a siphon tube. Great customer service; they quickly responded to my questions about how to use it.
When you use the filler, the soft rubber gasket that comes with it is destroyed, so buy more. (This is a typical CO2 connector gasket. ) ) Aside from that, it's a good value for money.
For a long time, it has served me well; the scale could be upgraded to a nicer one, but I have no complaints.
Thank you, I was able to obtain it.
