Shooting will be carried out from a bench with an inexpensive spotting scope. Another tripod in my possession is too tall, bulky, and heavy for a camera. There is a high plastic content to this one, but it is well made and stable, and it should perform the intended task. It would have been better to go with a heavier-weight optic if this was meant for higher priced optics This tripod is designed for heavy duty use. This one does the trick for me.
