Thank you for your column in the "Ruger AR-" This is what I just read This fact sheet describes the 556 as having multiple attachment points including a QD socket and bayonet lug, allowing for multiple options for sling and accessory mounting. The MI Quick Disconnect (QD) Sling Swivel looks like it should work for you. It is important to know that the Sling Swivel has a recessed button (which I love very much) that can be a bit difficult to push in for some people.
The swivel is one and only one.
1. is listed in the product description. Approximately 25" tall. There is something wrong with my sling it's not a full sling ...and a half I don't know how wide it is, but it is definitely more than an inch wide, and it fits in this swivel without bunching up.
I am not aware that the standard foregrip on the DPMS Oracle has Quick Disconnect spots (or mounts) On the other hand, if it does have a Quick Detach (QD) spot, then it will work as intended.

The reason I selected this particular model was because MI is a well-known brand and that the release button is not visible from There was a huge difference between what I paid for and what I received.
Using an MP5 to run transition drills. Once again, it disconnected on its own, and it sent my loaded MP5 pointing directly up at the ground with the stock down first. Apart from a few moments of embarrassment and laughter out of the way, it could have finished badly. Second time, not only did my safety fall off, but a loaded gun was pointed at me, and it was a hot one at that. I run QD sockets on a duty weapon for the last time.
My AR Service Rifle gun builds use standard hardware and sling parts. I bought this sling swivel to use with that. It was impossible for me to get the end of the sling through the slot no matter what I did. Ultimately, I had to pry the wire loop apart to get the sling into the sling loop. The opening would have been much easier to fit through if it had been an eighth inch wider, and about the same amount taller. Although it is a good fit for a sling strap, it will not allow you to attach standard sling hardware. As the hardware cannot be removed from the sling, it is unable to be taken off the ends. Thus, it passes through the ring and does not fit properly. In order to really test this product, go back to the product design phase and test the hardware with standard slings.
I had previously bought and returned two Magpul QDM swivels that did not maintain a positive lock on my gun. Initially, I thought it was because of the way the QD attachment point was machining on the gas block, but then I got one from Midwest that has held up like a champ for several months and multiple range sessions. I'm happy with the outcome.
It works perfectly. I had no problems using the Ruger 556 with this mod. When I'm out and about, it's great to have the flush button to prevent accidental disconnects. The Ruger has been predrilled for nestling it into one of the predrilled holes, which means that it fits snugly. My recommendation for this product is strong.
I tried out the QD mounts I bought 2 and mounted them on my rifle. I was very pleased with them. I'm not a high speed Army Ranger, Navy Seal, super soldier or high speed guy that goes out and shoots thousands of rounds every week "running and gunning. " I do, however, play basketball every summer. I wanted to attach my slings to my guns effectively and felt like this would be a good way to do it. As for the quality, I can say they are very sturdy and seem very high quality. In addition, they are cheaper than other options. In the same way that BCM and Magpul do. It has a button to attach and detach the sling subdued to the swivel, which means there is less of a chance for you to bump into things and accidentally detach the sling. There are some more expensive options that have a button that extends further outward The people don't play with them or rattling them around. Honestly, I don't even know what company these are from, but it may be Midwest Industries. There is no information on Midwest Gloves Industries on the Internet. In addition to the fact that I received both of mine in unmarked plastic bags, you can rest assured that they are made well no matter who made them. Almost the same price as 1 of the others, you can have 2 of these. The other options are just as good. It would be very wise for you to choose.
An SGA stock is equipped with the QD swivel installed in a Magpul cup. I have no issues with it. It engages and disengages easily, but it does not fall Designed to fit securely. There are no issues. The slings work The book would be a good suggestion for The metal gun part is a little oily as MI does not want it to rust on a shelf until it sells, but the oil washes off with a dry cloth quite easily.
It is far superior to those offered at lower prices. This is a very good product. Because the QD slot was not machined correctly for "standard" QD swivels, I had to modify this one (on no account of the manufacturer). This thing locks in place and will not pop out accidentally after a quick shave (enough ball bearings are buried deep enough to go in there). Not only the 12 ga swivels, but even my most expensive rifle and optics will be attached to these swivels. Here it is. As some reviewers have commented, I must have superpowers because I am able to use the recessed button with gloves on without any problem.
