What is the reason for this gray color when that is not the gray one in the picture?

My concern as well was the FDE picture, so I ordered one and got one in gray. I was very pleased with the outcome, it was darker than the stock photo (when they show a gray one), which is what I wanted.

Are there replacement screws for the barrel tray available?

If you know Magpul's support, they will likely just send you replacements free of charge.

The barrel assembly remains separate from the buttstock upon separation, and there are no indents or points of attachment for attaching the two sections together

It is a difficult point to install a sling swivel at the back of the butt stock because of the protrusion visible there.

It only took about 20 minutes to swap from my wood OEM stock (olympic edition) all you need is allen keys and some pliers. I was 22. Its length of pull (stock) and the cheek riser are adjustable. For $20, I also purchased the High Riser that matches my scope should I wish to use it. A MLock is a plus for accessories. I'll probably throw on a bipod and a It was the transition from the wood to the synthetic that most worried me. During the shooting, I shot the M/P. I felt as if it was Chinese crap because it looked the same as 15 other games. The situation is NOT the same as It is the perfect weight! This is a quality weight, but lightweight enough to be able to handle for hours. Also the handle is nicely textured, so it's not immediately noticeable, but it keeps the grip well.

Stock in the factory is obliterated by this thing. Sturdy and modular, it is easy to assemble.

I think this is a much better stock than the original for a variety The design is rock solid and ready to take just about any M-clip There are several add-ons that can be configured with LOK

The system that I have set up (so far) uses a Patch and the Leapers Recon Flex M-Drive An LOK bipod, Magpul mounts for the sling, and a Gihunk 1 can be found here The QD sling has two points. I knocked off one star because, generally, it seems you get more for your money at Magpul. Their written materials are astoundingly unclear and confusing as well, Magpul doesn't spend the same money marketing or providing installation instructions.

I was able to install my receiver assembly without any problems. Your step-by-step instructions are very detailed and well written.
An issue I had with my factory stock was the length of the butts. There were two uninstalled butt extension spacers included with the package. It ended up being a great fit, and I used them again. It's nice to have a number of options without having to buy additional pieces

Bottom Line a good buying experience.

It is no problem to carry the Ruger 10/22 as long as you are 6'3"

I received the Magpul Backpacker LOP on the range and found it to be too short for my long arms and I had to adjust it. A very uncomfortable experience. In just ten minutes, I transferred the firearm from the Backpacker to the Hunter, installed all LOP spacers, and was done. I felt extremely comfortable at the range, and it was as accurate as I could have hoped. The service I received was excellent.

The pistol grip angle is more vertical, which is very conducive to a more comfortable shooting position. I was also impressed by how fast the shipment arrived.
