How big is this, one inch or thirty millimeters?

30 mm was the diameter of the hole. It was a mistake to collect one inch instead of the two

Is a 50 mm scope compatible with the medium rings?

My knowledge of the topic is limited. The scope will be as close to the barrel as possible if it does. We recommend you contact DNZ to find out how big the mount should be, or just go with the higher mount.

It scratches the scope but is an okay mount

I found this mount to be quite durable, very secure, and came with allen keys. * But. It is very sharp on the corners, and you will scratch your scope as you rotate it to level it. This is not a huge deal from a functional standpoint, but it pissed me off when my new Leupold developed Consider this too if you rotate your scopes frequently they'll get scratched all at once. A file was used to smooth the corners, but the damage had already been.

My experience with this product was not good

may have received a defective item, but I really like the design. Zeroed two different scopes with it (actually sent a scope back because I thought it was defective. When I switched back to my basic weaver pattern, my problem was solved. Due to lack of time, I didn't have the chance to exchange it before Season.

They are definitely the best mounts on the market today. The mounting process is simple and straightforward. By eliminating multiple points of failure inherent in other scope mounting systems, the one piece mount design eliminates the cause of many failures. Having one scope mount is all that.
