It doesn't have a swivel or pivot feature, but I just got mine and mounted it, and after testing it out at home, I discovered that you can pivot up and down a reasonable amount, and I was also able to pivot it a reasonable amount. I didn't count, but I'm guessing it's in the 20s. It's worth 30 degrees, which translates to a lot of moas and a lot of range. I used to have a swivel and pivot bipod, but it never quite locked in the way I wanted it to, so I prefer the way this one feels. The stakes are extremely high when it comes to first impressions. So far, I can't tell the difference between this one and one I had from a much more expensive "famous maker." I'm looking forward to trying it out in the next few days.
The part of the bipod that connects directly to the sling mount has holes drilled into it to allow a sling to be attached to it (the holes can be seen near the tension screw in the product photos). Unfortunately, the holes in mine are just a tad too small for my sling to fit through. I'm not sure if this is a unique problem with my bipod, or if the manufacturer made a mistake with their specifications and machined all of the bipods to the wrong specifications.
This bipod includes a weaver/pictatinny mount adapter, so it will work with any weapon that has one of those rail types. It takes about four slots on a picatinny rail (this is just a guess).
It took a couple of re-reads for me to figure out what was going on. I finally figured out how to attach the bipod to the rail adapter after a lot of searching. To remove the plastic tube from the top of the bipod, loosen the thumbscrew on the underside of the bipod. After that, the arms will have two small studs that will go into the holes in the swivel stud of the adapter. After you've gotten everything in order, re-enter the room. Tighten the thumbscrew as much as possible. The adapter can now be connected - accompanied by a bipod - to your rifle's weapon rail

Let me begin by saying that if the commitment is less than $20, you are not taking a significant risk. This is what I chose for my ar- 22 just to pique my interest, and please know that this product far exceeded my expectations. It's extremely durable and practical. Even if I had paid more, I would be satisfied with my purchase. The setup is straightforward, and the functionality is excellent. If you purchase, I believe you will be pleased, and if not, what exactly were your expectations? You could pay more, but I'm not sure what you'd get for the extra money.
For a picatinny rail, this is a HORRIBLE mount. It's completely useless as a rifle. Attached is a photo. The off-kilter angle offset is insane, and calling this mount acceptable is ridiculous. This POS is tilted 15 degrees to the left (OR right, depending on how the alleged adapter is mounted). DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM WITH THE INTENTION OF USING THE INCLUDED MOUNT. I'm amazed at how many positive reviews there are; they're clearly fakes and bots. You have no chance of being able to hold or shoot the gun if you bought it with the mount.
It's a nice-looking bipod with spring-loaded legs that extend out to about 9 inches. br>br> The magazine does not touch the ground while sitting on the bipod with a 30 round magazine in it and my stock extended. br>br>Seems to be fairly sturdy, though this diminishes slightly as the legs are extended further. When I did shoot with it fully extended, however, I had no problems with it moving or flexing. I just found that the legs on the lower levels were a little more stable. br>br>Only time will tell how well it holds up, but so far it appears to be holding up well.
It's $20. It appears to be worth $80 in my opinion. It performs as if it were worth $80. It won't last as long as an $80 bipod, but it's on my 22LR, so I expect it to last for a long time. It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose.
Quality is reflected in the price! The leveling of the bipod is impossible. Because my rifle scope's sling stud arms are bent to the left, it's always tilted 30 degrees off axis. The right leg engages nicely, but the left leg bounces around loosely and can't retract without a lot of force. The stock's protection pads don't stay put. The right pad was not properly glued down when it arrived, and it migrated down to the bottom of the base of that side, and the plate against which the locking pin is pressed is very thin and bent when only hand tightened. The locking pin has a very small o'ring that acts as a stop system. Very thin and easily bent with only the force of one's hand. I removed it and straightened and realigned everything before attempting to reinstall it, only to have it bend to the left once more. If you're going to spend $20 on it, spend an additional $20 on a CaldWell! The quality and workmanship are vastly different! This is not a CaldWell, no matter how hard it tries to be!.
There's no reason, in my opinion, to spend the kind of money that companies like Harris want for a simple bipod set when there are plenty of equally good options right here on Amazon. This was purchased for the Savage of my cousin. It's 22 years old, and it's ideal. So far, there haven't been any functional issues. The springs that maintain tension on each of the legs (to move them from their "up" position under the rifle barrel to their "open/deployed" position) are admittedly quite taut, which can make their deployment a little loud if you don't maintain control of them as you bring them down, but I don't consider that a fatal flaw. It's simple to set up and take down the telescoping legs. Because it comes with parts for both, it can easily be mounted to the forward sling swivel or a rail. Overall, this set accomplishes its goal and does so admirably. Without a doubt, it has my vote.
I compared features and prices after reading both positive and negative reviews. The winner was this bipod! With the included adapter, mounting it to my rail was a breeze. So far, everything appears to be in good order. You simply cannot go wrong for the price!.
This is a fantastic upgrade for my AR15 riffle. It arrived quickly, was simple to put on, and was of excellent quality. I've fired 500 rounds through my riffle, and it has held up well. And don't get me started on the cost. What more could a gun enthusiast ask for?.
