They don't keep in touch with each other. To help minimize movement on a slick surface, the feet on your fire control device (or bench rest) sit on top of these pads.
I looked at the tripod's feet and said no; I have a couple of other tripods with spiked feet, and I use those square rubber feet that protect floors from furniture. With a round indent in the center, it measures approximately 3" x 3". They were purchased at Home Depot.
Yes, there are three of them.
I haven't tried it myself, but I have my doubts. They're made to work with the Rock and Rock BR's spiked adjustable feet.

These are required in a variety of areas and benches where cleats will not work or will cause damage to the bench. Something like this should really come with the rest, because they work great when they're in place, but they're only held in place by gravity. The rest just falls into place. The rest of the pads may be knocked off by a solid bump. You could also just leave the pads on when you leave; they'd be a lot better if they threaded on over the cleats and didn't fall off. When you twist the pad up on a camera tripod, the cleats are exposed. Alternatively, one that must be removed when not in use. Oh well. Perhaps there are more suitable pads.
Some sort of non-profit organization The Caldwell shooting front rest requires a skid accessory, but the design of the pads could be improved. They'd be significantly better if the receptor hole was deeper and tapered. The bases of the Caldwell rest are very easy to remove. Caldwell could also use dual-purpose tripod bases, similar to those found on camera tripods. one treaded rubber base on a pointed base I made a wooden base plate out of 3/4" plywood, drilled three holes to match the Caldwell rest's base legs, and added a piece of non-slip material. Attach the material to the plywood with a slip of the hand.
Some of the other units do exactly that, so these should have been designed to screw into the stud for the rest. These simply sit beneath the stud's point to prevent the base from being marred or moved on certain surfaces. The issue is that you may pack your belongings and forget to bring these. Carrying them around is inconvenient.
These are a useful addition to keep the Caldwell stand and bag set in place while shooting. When I'm on a table, I'll use these instead of shooting from the ground. However, instead of simply sitting in them, I wish they were attached to the legs.
Caldwell makes some of the best shooting rests on the market. The Caldwell Rock BR Adjustable Ambidextrous Rifle Shooting Rest for Outdoor Range's rubber feet could, and should, be larger. Each rubber foot has a diameter of about 1 1/4". The rubber feet appear larger in the photo than they are in reality.
They perform as expected. However, I have a few complaints. They should be part of the Caldwell Rock BR. They could easily be manufactured in the United States, but Caldwell frequently has items manufactured in communist China to save a few cents on labor costs. If the rest feet were screwed on or attached to the rest feet, it would be a much better design. You simply tuck them away. One of the sets has already been lost.
I'm excited to take them to the range. We have smooth shooting benches, which I expect to hold up well against the table. Don't expect your orders to arrive on time if you order with the prime two-day guarantee.
These were purchased to be used in concrete benches at a nearby shooting range. Excellent traction and protection against bench gouges. On a concrete surface, make it simple to level the Caldwell Rock BR competition.
