Questions & Answers

Is this going to work with gunstocks? 1 is 1 5/8 x 5 inches in size. The other one measures 1 9/16 inch by 4 11/16 inch?

According to one source, the small pad's dimensions are as follows: 5 1/8"(5. 1 3/4" (1.125") x 1.125" (1.125") x 1.125" (1.125") x 75") . It's the first 5-star comment that says "most helpful." The dimensions of the medium size (which I have) are as follows: 7/16" x 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" 7/8" (according to a ruler measurement) The small appears to be a good fit for your first firearm. It's difficult to say whether or not the small pad will be too big for your second one. You could start by purchasing a single small pad, which will most likely fit your first rifle. When you get it, put it through its paces with the other rifle. Use the same pad on both rifles if it fits. Alternatively, if you want each rifle to be unique, simply purchase a second rifle.

What is the maximum capacity of a Stevens 320 pump shotgun?

The size medium is ideal. Small fits and functions properly, but it resembles the sleeve on the wood stock in appearance. It's a tad on the small side.

What is the shotgun size for a Remington 870?

With the Rem 870 GA12, a medium size works fine.

Which size, if any, would you recommend for a Kel Tec 2000 Generation 2?

It works well on the first generation, so it shouldn't be too difficult on the second. It's fine to shoot it open, but unless you modify it, it won't lock closed. It's only for long-range sessions that I use it. It significantly reduces the pain in my shoulder that I had been experiencing as a result of shooting a large number of rounds. It was well worth the money.

Selected User Reviews For Allen Company Recoil Eraser, Recoil Reducing Pad

Even though the small was suggested, go with the medium size
5/5

After reading some reviews, I decided that the small would be a good fit for me. I ordered this Allen Recoil Eraser Pad for my Mossberg Maverick 88, and I went with the medium size despite the fact that the small was recommended. After reading that the small was too small for the Maverick 88, I went ahead and purchased the medium, which I am glad I did. The medium appeared to be a little small for the Maverick 88 stock at first, but with a little stretching and fiddling around with it, I was able to get it on and it fits perfectly; I believe the reason they recommend the small pad is if you decide to remove the pad that comes attached to the back of the stock. In this case, I believe the small would fit, so it's a matter of personal preference whether you want to keep the pad that came with the stock or replace it with a new one. I ended up putting mine on top of it, and it looks fine, but it does add about an inch to the stock length, so that's something to think about. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. If you found it useful, please rate it. Thanks.

When shooting 12 Ga
5/5

, there is a huge difference. Slugs ! I went to the range with my old Remington 870 shotgun a few weeks ago. When I was a cop 30 years ago, I used to shoot slugs out of it on a regular basis. I was taken aback by how much age and muscle mass loss affected the perceived recoil. That day, I was done after about five shots. I started looking for a recoil pad and came across a number of different brands with a wide range of prices. Despite its low price, the reviews for this one suggested it was just as good as the more expensive ones, so I gave it a try. I went to the range today and fired 40 slugs with ZERO discomfort. br>br>It was very simple to set up. Please keep in mind that these are designed to be installed without the factory rubber butt end. (Wasn't that a strange combination of words at the end of that sentence?) Then just stretch it out and put it on. Simply lube a 2 Phillips screw driver and insert it into the tight openings to reach the screws and back them out to remove the old rubber butt end (there I go again, but it gets worse). It's just not the same without the lube, but isn't that the case with most things? This recoil pad comes highly recommended by me. It made shooting slugs a breeze, and the result was much tighter groupings because I was focused on my sights rather than the punch I was about to deliver to the shoulder. Peace!.

It absorbs recoil very well, but after a few shots, it starts to slip
5/5

I decided to take up trap shooting, so I dug out my old single shot 12 ga rifle from the back of the closet, where it had been for decades. For my first outing, I shot three trap rounds for a total of 75 rounds. After several days of severe soreness in my shoulder, I realized I needed to add a recoil pad. br>I purchased and installed this pad before my next outing. I shot 100 rounds and had no issues with my shoulder at all. My only gripe is that after about 5 shots, the pad starts to slip and I have to reposition it. It's a little inconvenient, but it's well worth it in terms of the benefits I receive. This would not be an issue if you were hunting and only fired a few shots at a time. br>So I'd give it five stars for performance, but I'm deducting one for slipping. Overall, I think this is a good product. br>Adds about an inch to the length of the pull. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. br>Because this pad increased the pull on my shotgun by at least an inch, I decided to remove the butt plate, which reduced the pull by about 3/8 inch. After removing the plate and replacing it with the recoil pad, the pad appears to grip the wood better than the plastic butt plate, and it no longer slips after a few shots. As a result, I'm bumping my rating up to 5 stars.

My Marlin 336s fit perfectly in the small size
5/5

Today I got three Allen recoil erasers for my Marlin 336 30-year-old Marlin. 30's. After reading a few reviews recommending various sizes for the 336, I decided to take a chance and purchase the small. These rifles were made for the small size! I haven't shot them with the new pads yet, but the felt recoil can only be better than stock, so that's what I'm assuming. I'm also pleased with the extra inch of length added to the butt stock by the pads, which improved the rifle's fit to my shoulder for my arm length. It is not always possible to achieve a win-win situation. For a little more than $11 each, you can take home the prize. So far, I'm very pleased with them. I hope that this review aids in the decision-making process for others who are considering similar rifles.

Compared to similar products, this product is significantly superior
5/5

I'm a gun nut who owns a variety of rifles, each with its own set of recoil pads. The majority of them are pretty similar, costing around $10 on Amazon, and reducing felt recoil by 20% or so. They'll all do a decent job. The reduction in felt recoil is significantly better than similar products, even fancier products that cost significantly more. br>br>However, this product truly stands out from the crowd: it reduces felt recoil significantly better than similar products, even fancier products that cost significantly more. It reduces felt recoil by about 30 percent, in my opinion. 40%, almost doubling the effect of comparable recoil pads. With the help of this recoil pad, I was able to. My 308 has just a smidgeon of extra oomph. 223 (5. 56 NATO). br>br>Clearly, this product isn't going to be a miracle worker. A . Even a 50 caliber bullet will hit you like a freight train, and heavier cartridges will have some recoil. However, it significantly reduces recoil, aids in the reduction of "flinching" reflexes, and should allow you to fire any common hunting cartridge without risking a large shoulder bruise.

A proper size pad that fits the stock perfectly and takes the sting out of slugs is now available
4/5

I received the correct size [small] pad, which fit the stock perfectly. I've shot 00, slug, and trap shells with it, and it works perfectly. It even takes the sting out of slugs. br>- br>Based on the "known fit" descriptions, I purchased the Medium recoil pad. Even with the OEM stock in place, though, the medium pad was too loose on the stock. I went back over the description and noticed that the Mossberg 500 appears in BOTH of the "known fit" categories in some form or another. It's a mess. br>The pad package includes a silhouette that can be used to match your current stock - However, if you're shopping online, it's too late. br>Other brands include size information in their online descriptions. Allen [or Amazon, for that matter] should follow suit. As a result, only 1 is possible. star. I'm going to return the medium pad for a refund. I've placed an order for a small pad. br>Once I've installed the small pad, I'll edit/update the review and add features. It won't be too small, I'm hoping.
