It will not work on its own. Aluminum, on the other hand, should never be placed in an ultrasonic cleaner because it will quickly corrode.
I didn't have any discoloration, but my ultrasonic cleaner did cause some wear and scratches.
So far, it's been working perfectly on my Glock. Is that what you're getting at? It's been cleaned four times so far with no damage to the steal or polymer. When you're finished, just give it a good oiling.
Titanium is a non-ferrous metal, so yes. This solution is safe to use with ferrous metal.

When I took the barrel out after 2x7 minute intervals, the colors had changed to a dark grey. I became concerned because I feared I had ruined my barrel. putting on a quick coat of oil brought the color back as the metal adsorbed the oil, and there was no grime or anything else on the barrel! taking a closer look, I realized nothing was wrong with the barrel, but it had been cleaned of ALL oils and grime! br>br>After that, I added the slide and the trigger group area, and everything turned out perfectly! br>br>I tried a purple degreaser, but it didn't work nearly as well as I had hoped. If you're cleaning weapons, I HIGHLY recommend this product! However, make sure to oil your parts right afterward, as it will absorb all of the oils! br>br>It was mentioned that the solution contains oils to prevent flash rust, but that is not stated anywhere on the bottle. (In fact, it says to oil your product right after), so I wouldn't rely on the solution's built-in oil. oil as soon as possible br>br>If you're looking for a thorough cleaning, look no further! For deep cleaning any metal item, I use this method. Any regularly cleaned gun has nothing or nearly nothing left after 30 minutes in hot water. I also use it to clean old surplus guns, which saves me a lot of time because all of the grime falls off in the ultrasonic cleaner. I cleaned an Uzi parts kit, a Fal parts kit, a Galil parts kit, five filthy fal mags, four filthy uzi mags, and six filthy G3 mags by using only four of the marked recommended loads.

We haven't tried it on a polymer frame or parts because the instructions say not to, but it works perfectly on all steel and metal parts. I had no prior experience with ultrasonic cleaners, so I approached this with an open mind. I used the product for the first time on an old range gun that hadn't been cleaned in years. It appeared to be a different weapon after I used it. I used it on a brand new gun with a lot of oil on it, and it cleaned it so well that the store asked why I bought another gun! I haven't used the same mix more than three times, so I can't speak to its durability, but even after three uses, all of the parts are still clean!.
I didn't have anything else to compare it to, but it seemed to work fine. It only takes a little to make a big difference. Only a few ounces per gallon of water are used.
It cleans well, but be aware that while my gun parts dry quickly after being immersed in the solution, I've had issues with light rust. The unit I'm using has a heater, and the water evaporates quickly when it's really hot. I remove the parts from the solution as soon as they are clean and rem them. oil. Other solutions were tried, but the issue remained the same. Unless you want to add oil to your solution, I believe you will always have this issue.

As with most Lyman products, it performs admirably. I have a lyman sonic cleaner that I use. I applied it to parts that had already been cleaned. You can't see how much more carbon is being ejected. As usual, I'm pleased with Lyman's offerings.
To clean some soiled old 308 rifle parts, I mixed this solution with heated water in an ultrasonic tank. br>It ate away at the old crud, restoring the parts to their original state of raw metal. br>On the parts, it didn't hurt the bluing, only the crud. This is an excellent item.
