Questions & Answers

How much kneading is required each time the grease is used? The grease seemed a little runny after about 30 seconds of kneading. ?

I realize this is an old post, but I wanted to respond to your question about how to tell when the dough is ready to use after it has been kneaded. When you squeeze the content, it should come out white mustard-like and without runny oil to determine this. If an oily liquid comes out when you squeeze it, you haven't properly kneaded it. Remember that tw25b has an NLGI rating of 1, indicating that it has the consistency of mustard, so if you don't see something mustard-like, you aren't kneading it thoroughly enough.

What is the percentage of moly, if any, in this stuff? It looks and smells like Lubriplate. ?

I'm not sure which is better, but I've used both and prefer Lubriplate. It's difficult to mix TW25 in the tube because it separates. Lubriplate, on the other hand, does not. I purchased a 14-ounce bottle of wine. I have a can of Lubriplate that will most likely last me the rest of my life.

I have a lot of this stuff at work, and I'm wondering if it'll work with my pocket knives. ?

This is a fantastic grease for any lubrication job. It only takes a small amount of grease to get the job done. Simply dab a small amount on the item, spit shine it in if possible, and wipe away any excess. If you're lubricating a place that doesn't allow spit shining and wiping clean, just use a small amount and leave a dull sheen, like when you wax your car. So, yes, absolutely yes is my answer. It can be used to lubricate pocket knives and other items.

Is the bore going to be cleaned as well?

Mil- The M25 gun is manufactured by Comm. Bore Cleaner is a tool that is used to clean the inside of the I used to get my Mil-Spec from the local hardware store. On-line and off-line lubricants for communications I now purchase from the NRA's website, and all of my firearms are lubed and cleaned with Mil-Spec. Comm. What the Gatling Guns of our military can do, I can do. Remove all previous lubes and spray with 91% alcohol before applying Mil- I use a hair dryer to warm the metal, then apply the Mil-Kote while it's still warm. Allow fifteen minutes (or a little longer) for the grease to penetrate the metal pores. Wipe and reapply as needed after each firing from then on. br>Wipe off until the white is gone after applying this (it looks like hand lotion). This is fantastic. G'luck.

THE BEST FIREARM GREASE THAT HAS EVER BEEN CREATED
5/5

The U. The M61A1 20mm rotary gun system is equipped with this technology. In Iraq's deserts, stuff is at work. Mil-Grease (and their oil version) is the best grease on the market. Comm. If you're a knucklehead who only cleans his gun once a year to sit in a deer stand and fill a freezer, you'll probably just smear some Hopps on her and call it a day. br>br>However, if you're serious about your firearms and consider maintenance and reliability to be essential, you'll need to up your game. This grease (along with their oil) contains Teflon microparticles that fill in all of the microscopic holes and cracks, allowing for extremely smooth operation. It can take a beating and still come out on top. It actually aids in the polishing of metal surfaces, making them even more smooth.

I 100% will stand behind this product and will use Mil- For all of my firearms, I use Comm grease and oil. There isn't any competition. br>.

I'm not interested in that, so I'll look for something else to do
3/5

I'm not a fan. For the past month, I have been using this slide and action grease. I filled a 10ml syringe with the product and a 1. 5" needle used for application The issue is that after a few days in the syringe or tube, the product separates. How does this protect my slides and actions after a few days if the formulation separates in the tube and syringe within days? It wasn't, to tell you the truth. Someone who cleans and fires on a daily basis might find this useful. This is not a weapon storage product I would trust if I needed a hideout or a stow-and-go deployment. The temperature range is the most appealing aspect of this. No, I'll look for something else. br>br>.

On the market, there is no better gun grease than this
5/5

On the market, the best gun grease. Although a larger tube costs more, it is a better value than two smaller tubes. For most people, one of these 4oz tubes will last them for years.

It performs exactly as I expected
5/5

I haven't been able to shoot or practice as much as I did a year and a half ago due to spinal injuries. So I still use Ballistol, but I use less of it, and the grease only requires a very small amount of it. When I check the slides on my handguns and SKS's, it spreads out and keeps things running smoothly. Except when cleaning the barrels, I'm going to use Ballisto even less. So, yes, I believe you'd enjoy this product. Roadman55@verizon. net net.

You may require a thicker substance than oil on occasion
5/5

There are plenty of lubrication options for firearms on the market. We have a wide range of options, from multipurpose (CLP) to repurposed lubricants (motor oil, ATF) to super high-tech firearm specific items. Personally, I use a variety of products, but there are times when a liquid oil isn't enough. br>br>For those small areas that require good lube, don't have much clearance for lube, and are prone to drying out, a light gun grease can be ideal. TW- is responsible for this. It's good to have a quarter of a billion dollars. I particularly like it for semiautomatic pistol frame rails (Sig Sauer even includes small tubes of it with their autochuckers); I found out about it that way). I'm not sure I'd use it in a place where junk is likely to accumulate (the bolt carrier of an AR-style rifle, for example). This tube of grease should keep you running for a long time in places that tend to stay clean but *really* ought to stay lubed; it doesn't take much, but it keeps those rails lubed better than any of the oils I've tried.

For dependable operation, this is a must-have
5/5

Like the other positive reviewers, I think this is a great book. This grease is simple to use, just a few small dabs on the rail tracks or other areas of friction, and it makes a big difference in continuous operation. I dab it on, then spread it out with the small end of a cleaning toothbrush. Just enough to get a glimpse of the whitish film, but not too much. Following a range session, I discovered that the grease does not blow out or move at high temperatures. I have a few small semis and have found that, despite their pickiness, I have fewer failures now than before I started using this grease. I believe that using a grease with a specific viscosity and property is critical to achieving a high level of reliability, and this is high-quality material that meets the requirement. After using the smaller size for several months and becoming convinced of the product, I purchased the larger 4 oz tube; it is well worth it. I wouldn't run now if I didn't have it.

(5/5) The Best Synthetic Grease Available
5/5

I've been shooting and cleaning guns for a long time, and I've always used the best of the best to ensure that my firearms last as long as possible. br>br>This grease is recommended by top firearm manufacturers for ALL guns. It's compatible with the P226R, M9, SA M1911, and Glocks (but, of course, it's great with any firearm). br>br>Pros:
- Even when it's hot, it won't run. br>- provides excellent resistance to frame-induced slide frictionbr>- The amount needed for various applications (from light to heavy use) is indicated in the box. br>- -br>-br>-br>-br>-br> dependablebr>- The gun mechanics are much more fluid. br>br>Cons:
- Notes: Nonebr>br>Notes: Nonebr>br>Notes: Nonebr>br>Not
- The tip of this 4 oz tube is fully sealed; As a result, you'll need to cut the tip to allow the grease to escape. br>- The white compound and the oils in the tube will be naturally separated by grease. No worries; simply knead the tube before using it. br>br>Recommendation(s)/Suggestion(s):
- Before you can squeeze it out, you must first cut an opening, as I previously stated. Rather than cutting a hole, I recommend poking one with a large needle. This way, you can squeeze hard without worrying about releasing too much at once.
- Knead the tube a little before using it to get a more uniform grease solutionbr>- Use only on the outside of the barrel, not the inside. br>- Apply a good amount (even if it's a faint white color) to your firearms. If you see a pure white lube spot, you've used too much; If you don't see a faint white amount, you'll need to apply more. br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read this review; cheers! ***Update 10/13/2011**
This product never ceases to amaze me. It never dries out, and it keeps my firearms in good working order. I recently purchased a new AR-style rifle. 15 (LMT MRP CQBPS16), and I'm impressed with how well it lubricates and protects all of the critical components. I strongly advise everyone to use this product.
