When it comes to brushes, Hoppers is the best

This is a very well made brush that will last for quite a few cleanings, as long as you don't go digging forever with it. You can easily take good care of these and they will last you quite a long time. When using these, it's best to remove the upper and lower from each other. Do not force them too far in when you are cleaning, you don't want to destroy the brush by pushing them too deep. You can get the junk out of your chamber with this. After you have removed the bristles, do a thorough inspection to make sure there are none.

You should either use Hoppe's or none at all for cleaning equipment! Hoppes is always reliable when it comes to cleaning equipment and oil

Using any other is not an option for me. It is the best buy for your gun collection and your money. Cheap cleaners and oil are a waste of time and money. I have always regretted using them.

You should not have to scrape carbon build up out of your chamber as long as you aren't going to need to use them over and over again

The brand has been around since I was a kid . . . I still have my original old Hoppe's cleaning kit from the 60's! It has never occurred to me to consider anything they make or sell anything other than top-quality. . . even these brushes!.

If memory serves, these were good for AR, however, I am not sure about their use as bolt action shooting rounds

As far as cleaning the chamber goes, I will continue to use the 9mm bore brush that I use with the bolt action. I am not sure if I will use these with my bolt action.
